My candidate statement | I would like to begin by saying that I think there are more competent candidates than me. I would not want to push Eloquence out of the Board of Trustees for example (Not that I believe I will, but thats another question :D ...). However, I do believe I would do at least a good a job as some of the other candidates, which is one reason I am putting myself to the vote.
In my opinion the major concern of the Wikimedia Foundation at the moment must be the consolidation of what has been achieved. Without a doubt, the enormous growth over the short timespan since being founded has led to many long term problems. The two I think should be given priority are:

I talk in more length (but less coherently) on these issues here. Other things people thinking of electing me might want to know are that I have recently read up on the Citizendium, and think that their principles (Users are required to register under their real name, and verified experts are given the final say on their topics) are worth thinking about. And that I find what I´ve read on Wikitruth somewhat disturbing. | |
