Board Members

Chairperson: Justice Okai-Allotey

Justice Okai-Allotey is a dedicated digital engagement strategist committed to fostering positive change. Passionate about communication, business development, and social media, he drives impactful strategies and creates engaging content. As a Ghanaian Wikipedia volunteer and a Wikimedia Ghana User Group member, he helps lead efforts to improve Wikipedia and its sister project’s representation of Ghana. He is also the Communications Officer of the Humanist Association of Ghana, the Africa Coordinator of Young Humanist International, and the Vice President of Psych Aid & Love outreach. He advocates for human rights, mental health, and social justice. He strives to create a more equitable and informed world through his work.

Vice Chairperson: Enock Seth Nyamador

Enock Seth Nyamador is a Geospatial Consultant and a dedicated contributor to OpenStreetMap.
He advocates for the use and adoption of Free and Open Source Software, as well as open data and communities of practices. He is actively involved with the Open Source Geospatial Foundation (OSGeo) to support the advancement of geospatial education. Additionally, Enock engages with open knowledge initiatives, including projects from the Wikimedia Foundation, to further promote accessibility and collaboration in information sharing. He is passionate about teaching and sharing knowledge, helping others to effectively utilize open-source tools and open data in their projects.

Advisor: Emmanuel Agbeko Gamor

Emmanuel Agbeko Gamor is a professional in digital applications, communities, and platforms with a wealth of experience in ecosystem building and innovation orchestration. He has established himself as an expert in the field, connecting communities and individuals across the African continent and beyond. Emmanuel has worked for a variety of prestigious organizations such as Facebook, where he was the Global Programs Manager for 5 out of 9 accelerator programs, deploying $7.5 million to 131 community leaders across 9 regions, 22 countries in 4 languages. He is currently a Digital Channels Senior Manager at MTN, managing the digital app (myMTN) experience for 29+ million Ghanaians. He leads the team that manages MTN Group’s first e-commerce app dedicated to broadband internet connectivity for millions of Ghanaians.

He has held Faculty for Entrepreneurial Leadership positions at the African Leadership University, as Director of Digital Innovation at Impact Hub Accra, and at Google as Curator and Specialist at YouTube. He currently teaches & facilitates digital transformation & communications online courses with Stellenbosch Business School Executive Education. As a visiting fellow and associate at Tayarisha School of Excellence in Digital Policy at the University of Witwatersrand; E. A. Gamor is also a philanthropist, and runs a social enterprise Urithi Labs for free training at Eliu Gift Hub. His work has also extended to consulting for the Government of Ghana and the Ghana Tourism Authority, as well as being a panelist at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. Emmanuel is a highly respected and highly accomplished professional, with membership in prestigious organizations such as Global Shaper Alumni, World Economic Forum, and the Institute of Business Advisors Southern Africa and a proud Odade3, alumnus of The Presbyterian Boys’ Secondary School, Legon, Ghana.

Community Representative: Stella Sessy Agbley

Stella Agbley is a Senior Records Officer and Head of the Conservation Unit at the Public Records and Archives Administration Department (PRAAD). Her work focuses on preservation and conservation, ensuring its accessibility for future generations. She is a member of the Wiki Loves Folklore International team and the coordinator for the Feminism and Folklore (FNF) initiative of Wiki Loves Folklore. Stella also co-leads the Wiki Hour Initiative, our projects, Wiki 4 Inclusion translates Wikipedia articles into sign language to make information more accessible for the hearing-impaired and also Digital Skills for Youth, which aims to empower communities through digital literacy and knowledge sharing.

Co-founder: Sandister Tei

Sandister Tei co-founded the Wikimedia Ghana User Group in 2012 and is a digital communities professional with 12 years of experience. She has helped traditional newsrooms in West Africa transition to and sustain digital-first models while building capacity in the use of digital media tools.

Within the Wikimedia Movement, Sandister has taken on diverse roles as an organizer, trainer, policy advocate, and grantee. Her work has spanned projects and themes such as advocating for Freedom of Panorama in Ghana, promoting art and feminism, and addressing topics like migration and democracy. In recognition of her contributions, she was named Wikimedian of the Year in 2020 by Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales.

Currently, Sandister serves as a Specialist at the Wikimedia Foundation. She works with the Community Tech and Trust and Safety Product teams, connecting global Wikimedia communities with product teams. Her role focuses on fostering inclusive design, facilitating adoption of new tools and features, and leading discussions that shape product decisions. Her teams manage initiatives like the prioritization forum for technical improvements and the development of tools that enhance digital security, privacy, and content integrity.

Sandister has also held various media and communications roles with organizations including Multimedia Ghana Limited, Citi FM, Channel One, Al Jazeera, Impact Hub Accra, re:publica, the Jack Ma Foundation, and the US Embassy in Accra.
