Wikimedia Greece-Malaysia Friendship
Wikimedia Greece-Malaysia Friendship is a project organized by active Wikimedians in the Greek and Malaysian Wikimedia communities. This project aims to enrich Wikimedia contents about Greece and Malaysia while strengthening the collaboration and relations between the two communities.
Before the launch
editA Greek Wikimedian, Nikos Likomitros (NikosLikomitros) and a Malaysian Wikimedian, Asmah Federico (Wiki Asmah) met at CEE Meeting 2024 in Istanbul and came up with the idea of collaboration across region. After the event, on September 23rd, 2024, they discussed on launching this friendship project. The discussion came to fruition a week later, on the 30th of September where the Greek and Malaysian Wikimedia will organize their first editathon.
Vision
edit- Enriching Wikimedia contents about Greece and Malaysia in their respective languages in the Wikimedia platforms;
- Strengthening the collaboration between the communities and beyond.
