Editing days

The three men included at the Cultural Heritage Sites in Ohrid Municipality ED that contributed in three new and five improved articles. On 9th, the Piano Works by Erik Satie Editing Day was organized and resulted in four creations of articles, out of three Wikipedians. The third one this month, Stationery was scheduled, reboot of 2020, and was attended of two users that produced three new articles. Again with cultural heritage related topics, on 12th we held Cultural Heritage Sites in Strumica Municipality that was comprised of three men and they accumulated 42 new articles. Then on 18th, Paintings by Caspar David Friedrich got occurred and seven Wikipedia pages got created, comprised of three Wikipedians. On 23th, Works by Molière was the topic and was participated by two users who contributed with four Wikipedia creations. Five days later, we organized Cultural Heritage Sites in Štip Municipality and eight articles got created by participation of one user. On 30th, it was arranged for Home Appliances which had attendance of two men who enriched the Macedonian Wikipedia with four new articles.

The outcome in August was 75 new articles and five improved articles.

WikiVillage

With the aim of affirming the cultural heritage of Macedonia, on August 6, we completed this year's terrain work of the VikiVillage Project in the suburb of Novo Selo, Štip Municipality. That day, 17 information plaques were set up and put into use, which were placed next to the buildings that have been declared as cultural heritage of Macedonia. The information plates themselves contain QR codes that lead to the corresponding Wikipedia articles in Macedonian and English. 9 people were part of the activity of that day, who contributed by giving and collecting information about the constructions and/or attending. In terms of media coverage, we were covered by the local television, Television M»Net HD, which announced the activity for August 6, but also by Reporter.mk, which announced the final outcome of the project. Additionally, 14 images of encyclopedic use were photographed on that day and were uploaded on Commons. Also, two articles were improved and one was created.

Editing weekends

The first weekend was started August 6-7 and we titled it Wars. This topic achieved four new articles, two new templates and was attended by two people. On 13th & 14th, the broad subject themed Italy was conducted and in that occasion three men edited about ten new pages and one new template. The second-to-final weekend was appointed for Airports. In those two days, two men got involved and created ten Wikipedia pages. On 27 to 28, the Christianity EW was held which was attended by four men who created 24 articles.

The outcome in August was 48 new articles and three created templates.

MakSport

On August 7, we got the opportunity to have one new indirect participant that helped one article to created with one of ours SK activist. For the purpose of the same article, another experienced Wikipedia created five templates.

Edit-a-thons

On August 11, we held an editorial marathon in Kumanovo, in cooperation with the Center for Intercultural Dialogue, which was hosted in their premises at the Multi Kulti Youth Center. In the spirit of the activity of this organization, the marathon was named Multiculturalism, Peace and Solidarity. The workshop lasted three hours from 10 am to 1 pm. The total number of participants in the event was 16 people and 43 articles were created by 13 people who editied or co-edited. 13 of the participants were new.

WikiSketch Lessons

On August 15, we had a training session with five people, three of whom were brand new. The training was held in our office and lasted from 10 am to 2 pm. Three articles were created, while one was improved on that day. The day later, two of participants published their articles that were initiated on 15th. On August 26, a brand new user became a Wikipedian and created three articles about mountains in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Photohunts

The fourth photohunt in 2022 was made in this month. Two participants (of which one was previous Wikimedia Commons user and one new) who are hikers climbed on the Šar Mountaints, partuculary to visit the microregion of Jelak and the Kamenjane Waterfalls. They managed to upload 40 images on Commons. Two articles were created and two more were improved within this activity.

Archaeoexpeditions

On August 29, during the entire expedition from 11:00 to 16:00, Ohrid was visited. Two people: Dandarmkd and another person visited the archaeological sites of Karaǵulevci and Vidobišta, which have also been declared cultural monuments. First, we visited the Karagjulevci tomb, which is located immediately northwest of the Ancient Theater. Next on the agenda was to visit the Vidobishta tomb, which is located in the neighborhood of the same name in the northeastern part of the city. Two articles were improved within the overall engagement.

Wikiexpedition to Upper Polog

Participants done third expedition during the project Wikiexpeditions in the region of Upper Polog, where they spent two days in the city of Gostivar and nearby villages. Although the weather was stormy, participants managed to get a nice images from around 30 villages.
