Editing weekends

Film was the first editing weekend that resulted with ten creations by three Wikipedians. The second weekend was appointed in the topic Rivers. That occasion, four men created 24 articles and five templates. Two participants created four articles on the topic Calendars (July 16 and 17). Then, on 23 and 24 this month, three people participated and contributed in ten new articles on the topic Galaxies. The last EW was titled Mathematicians which attracted five people who created 16 articles and improved one article.

The outcome in July was 64 new articles, one improved article, five created templates.

Editing days

This month our first 24 hour project was on July 5 and was named Cultural Heritage Sites in Struga Municipality. One man joined and created nine articles about houses in the town of Struga. Returning to the football topic, on 7th there was AFC National Teams which had two created articles and one created template by two participants. Then, on 12th, we held the Paintings by Filippo Lippi ED and had two new articles by one participant. On 14th, our user group organized the Cultural Heritage Sites in Debar Municipality ED and it was attended by one person who contributed in three created articles. Then, on 19th, there was Chinese Constellations. That time, five articles got created out of one person. Two days later, there was Works by Vladimir Nabokov that scored three created articles by one user. The second last editing day, on June 26, was named Cultural Heritage Sites in Kratovo Municipality and in that occasion one man was included and created eight articles. The final ED was called Political Ideologies which made up of one improved article by one participant.

The outcome in July was 32 new articles, one improved article and one created template.

WikiSketch Lessons

This project was reopened when one participant, previously engaged in WikiTranslate Project, on July 8 came to our office and got additional editing lessons. While being there, she created one article.

On July 27, in cooperation with the Volunteers Center Skopje in the quarters of the Biljana Beličanec House of Culture, we held an editorial event entitled Volunteering, Active Citizenship and Youth Work within the WikiSketch Lessons project. A total of 10 people attended the event, three of whom were editors, and they created six articles on Macedonian language Wikipedia.

Geoexpeditions

The project was initiated in this month when on July 9 three people were part of the feat. This time the subject(s) were the river islands of the Vardar River in the Povardarie Region located in the south-central part of Republic of Macedonia.

Photohunts

The second photohunt in 2022 was established on the weekend of 23 & 24. Two new participants, who were locals from Resen Municipality, managed to visit and photograph 10 villages and its notable sites from the eponymous municipality. 236 images were uploaded that portray the infrastructure of the villages, monuments, churches, mosques and monasteries. Within this engagement, 18 articles were created and improved each.

On July 31, a couple of new participants from the town of Tetovo, went to the near by town of Gostivar to photograph its notable sites and buildings. They managed to upload 48 images. The images include the City Park Gostivar, the Dr. Ferid Murad Public Hospital, the Gostivar Primary Court, the Goce Delčev Elementary School, the Mustafa Kemal Ataturk Elementary School, the Closk Mosque, the Clock Tower, the Gostivar Medical High School, the Gostivar High School, the Gostivar City Stadium, the Football Club Gostivar. Three articles were created and eight were improved on the Macedonian Wikipedia.
