Editing Weekends
editАs part of the international initiative "Wiki for Human Rights 2021", the first EW was titled "Climate Changes" that was comprised of two men that achieved seven new creations of articles. "Inequalities", which was on 8th to 9th, had attendance of two participants who created six articles. The third editing weekend we chose to be "Caves" and this was productive EW had 8 new articles by four Wikipedians. Just like the previous years, we again had the "Eurovision Song Contest". This year's installment was comprised of two men, contributing in eight new articles. The last weekend which had the title "Animation", had performance of four created pages by two men.
Editing Days
editOn 4th, the "Numeral Systems" editing day was organized which resulted with four articles, all new, by two participants. Two days later, the second editing day "Works of Thomas Mann" achieved six created articles and one created template out of three people. Next one, on 11th, three Wikipedians created 41 articles at the "Archaeological Sites at Sveti Nikole Region" editing day. The fourth one was "Iranic Languages" occurred on 13th and was attended by two participants with production of three newly articles. Next one, on 18th, we turned our attention to "Paintings of Peter Paul Rubens" and resulted in attendance of four users who created ten articles. The sixth editing day was named "Visigothic Kings" and the achieved results were seven new articles and one new template by three participants. On 25, we had "Counties of England" event that ended with creation of one article and participation of one Wikipedian. Two days later, the last ED "Macedonian Folk Songs (D)" was on and resulted in two articles by one man.
Week-a-thon
editFrom the period of May 3 to 9, a editing competition was held, titled "Activism for Healthy Environment", as part of the international initiative "Wiki for Human Rights 2021". This engagement was participated by two contesters that created 59 articles overall. Mostly the covered articles were about activists, rights and movements.
Wikisketch Lessons
editAt May 10, an article about a natural park in Romania, was created by our most continuous participant. The day after, he also created two articles about a museum and a park in the Netherlands. At May 15, he created an article about the Helsinki City Museum. Оn 18, another user joined this sub project and created and improved one article each about children related articles. Later that day, an article about a Estonian museum was created by our most prolific participant. On 20, another article about a national park was created.
High School Student's Competition
editIn collaboration with the users group GLAM Macedonia, we organized an editing competition for persons that are 15 to 18 years old. The competition started on April 26 and the chosen topic was titled "Biosphere Reserves in the World". This year's format was changed and it lasted three weeks, in which in every week we choose the best ranked article. At the end on May 9, the overall top three contesters were also prized. The results of the participants, which were seven of them, are 121 new and two improved articles.
Geoexpeditions
editThe expeditions that are directed towards geographical formations and landmarks, started on the single day expedition on May 16. The Places of visit and exploration were was the mountain of Bogoslovec and it's Gjavolski Dzid Formation that are located in the region of Ovče Pole, nearby the town of Sveti Nikole. Also, the village of Bogoslovec and the local St. John the Theologian Church. 100 images got uploaded and three articles were created and four more were improved within this activity.
Cultural Heritage
editAt May 21 in the town of Resen, located in the southern mid-west of the Macedonian Republic, we visited the notable Saray of Resen and the family house of the one of the founders of the Macedonian Revolutionary Organization (MRO) - Hristo Tatarčev. The Saray, built in the first decade of the 20 century, now houses the House of Culture "Dragi Tozija" and the Resen division of the Museum of Macedonia. Images were being photographed in order to be uploaded on Commons so they can be placed on suitable articles for better ilustration.
Wikiexpeditions
editThe inaugural 2021 Wikiexpedition occured on May 21-23. Like the previous times, four men, now headed in Povardarie region, which is Vardar's lower downstream within the Republic of Macedonia. This region not covered by the our Shared Knowledge community, is the location of the very small town of Demir Kapija and nearby Gorge named after the town. Within this expedition, the Municipalities of Demir Kapija and Gevgelija got visited. The number of uploaded images on Commons was 413.
Wikiexperiments
editOn 25 and 26, the 2021 season of Wikiexperiments has started. This time it was about physics experiments, filmed again by the professor Oliver Zajkov at the Institute of Physics, Faculty of Natural Science and Mathematics, Skopje. On May 25, we managed to record seven experiments and the day later four.
