Broadcast

A TV-interview with Ting Chen by the Austrian Broadcast ORF via satellite of Bayern Alpha has been broadcasted. ORF supports the founding of wiki.tv by software and hardware. Volunteers from Austria will support that project which will provide videos about WM-events, published under a free licence (CC-BY-SA) in Wikimedia Commons. Some radio stations in Vienna reported about the activities of WMAT.

Grant Agreement

A Grant Agreement with the WM Foundation (Barry Newstead) had to be prepared for 2012. Some legal issues had to be clarified. The Agreement will be signed in December.

The federal jury for the photo competition Wiki Loves Monuments finished their work judging 12,000 photographs with the help of a jury-wiki and selecting 500 pictures for the final jury. 20 Wikipedians attended the jury-meeting on Oct. 15 in Vienna. On Oct. 27 the final jury awarded 50 photographs in the federal office for the monuments of Austria. The award winning ceremony will take place on Nov. 16 in the Hofburg in Vienna. Sue Gardner, executive director of the WM foundation, will hand the prizes over to the award winners.Calendars with the best European pictures will be given to the participiants of WLM.

Two board members of WMAT presented WM projects at an international congress of workers at museums, libraries, galleries and archives as well as other volunteer organizations. The congress was organized by the association of Styrian Museums in Graz.

A lawsuit against WMAT concerning an article in de.wikipedia could be settled.

General Assembly

All members of WMAT had to be informed about the General Assembly 2012 on Dec. 10 in Vienna. Invitations were sent to all members.
