Celebration of Wikimedia Hong Kong's 6th anniversary
editWikipedians in Hong Kong celebrated Wikimedia Hong Kong's sixth anniversary on 12th July 2013. Besides Wikipedians, press were also invited to the event.
Wikimania 2013
editWikimania came back to East Asia again since 2007. The Wikimania 2013 was in 7-11 August 2013. The venue was in the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.There were 700 attendees from 88 countries. More than a hundred of volunteers were recruited.

Wiki Loves Monuments 2013
editThe Wiki Loves Monuments 2013 was held in September 2013. It was the first Wiki Loves Monuments in Hong Kong. 470 photos of monuments and historic buildings in Hong Kong were uploaded. The competition also attracted Wikimania attendees to upload their photos which were taken in Hong Kong during the Wikimania period.
Local professional photographers were invited as the jury for the Hong Kong competition, in order to rank the photos and choose the winners.
Interviewed by Southern Weekly
editTwo of the chapter's borad members, Rover Wong and Vincent Tsui, were interviewed by Southern Weekly, a China based newspaper, in the mid-February 2014. The main theme of the interview was mainly about political issues of articles in Chinese Wikipedia.
Women, Art and Wikipedia
editIt was a Wikipedia edit-a-thon similar to the Art+Feminism Wikipedia Edit-a-Thon in the United States. It was organized by Dr. Charlotte Frost from the School of Creative Media, City University of Hong Kong. It was on 8th March 2014. (i.e the Women's Day) Volunteers from Wikimedia Hong Kong helped the event in technical matters including creating accounts, article editing, and so on. There were about 20 attendees. 11 articles about local female artists were created or edited.

Interviewed by the Commercial Radio Hong Kong
editThe president of Wikimedia Hong Kong, Rover Wong, was interviewed by the Commercial Radio Hong Kong in May 2014. The main theme of the interview was mainly about the Wikipedian communities in the greater China area, as well as political issues of China-related Wikipedia articles.
Eighth (Extraordinary) Members' Assembly
editThe Eighth (Extraordinary) Members' Assembly was held in 28 June 2014. The purpose of the Extraordinary Members' Assembly is to amend the constitution of Wikimedia Hong Kong. The amendment on the constitution can be found in the following link (in Chinese only): [3]
