Wikimedians of Latvia User Group/2019

This is a report for activities performed by Wikimedians of Latvia User Group in 2019.

Wikipedian meetings

• During the year 7 meetings involving local and visiting wikimedians (at most 11 participants) were arranged.

Outreach events

• Advocacy for European Parliament copyright directive vote
• Mārtiņš Bruņenieks was invited for panel discussion at Digital approaches in cultural heritage

Community engagement

• Participation in Affiliate-selected Board seats selection

Article contests

• Wikipedia cleanup contest
• CEE Spring 2019 article contest. Mārtiņš Bruņenieks was involved in organizing the contest also on international level.
• Wikipedia Asian Month

Photo contests

• Wiki Loves Earth: 9th place photo in global contest (first time among finalists)
