editWikimedians of Minnesota User Group is a Wikimedia user group serving Wikimedians in the Minnesota area. It hosts edit-a-thons and community events to promote Wikimedia projects, as listed at the Wikipedia Minnesota meetup page.

- To support any Wikimedia-oriented events or organizations operating within Minnesota
- To establish a sense of community within our group.
History
editThe user group in January 2016 and became 'real' in 2018. During and after COVID-19, the group became inactive and was put on inactive status in March 2021. After that time there have been a handful of Wikimedia meetups and events in Minnesota. In 2024 the group reformed and has been meeting quarterly and is reapplying for active status.
WikiProject Minnesota
editOne of the major initiatives monitored by the group is the WikiProject Minnesota page. This WikiProject was formed to coordinate the development of better articles on the U.S. state of Minnesota.
