Nos actions

Les contributions rémunérées non déclarées et autres types de modifications publicitaires sont une forme de POV-pushing avec pour but de promouvoir ou faire connaître une entité (généralement des personnes, entreprises ou produits) dans un but marketing, de e-réputation ou d'optimisation pour les moteurs de recherche.

Il est fréquent que ces modifications s'étendent à plusieurs projets Wikimédia. Pendant longtemps, le manque de coordination cross-wiki a abouti à des démarches peu efficaces, avec à la clef des efforts décuplés pour chaque projet Wikimédia. Le projet Antispam a pour but de fournir un lieu de coordination pour les cas de publicité cross-wiki. La démarche de base est la suivante :

  • enquêter sur les comptes utilisateurs suspects
  • synthétiser les résultats de nos enquêtes sur les faux-nez et soumettre des requêtes aux vérificateurs d'adresses IP sur les projets Wikimédia pertinents
  • bloquer les comptes problématiques
  • alerter les communautés de l'ensemble des wikis concernés et annuler ou supprimer les contenus promotionnels lorsque cela est possible
  • surveiller à long terme l'éventuel retour de comptes problématiques

Ce qui n'entre pas dans les prérogatives du projet :

  • les ajouts promotionnels qui ne concernent qu'un seul wiki : contactez les administrateurs locaux
  • les spambots et le vandalisme cross-wiki : effectuez un signalement sur Steward requests/Global
  • le harcèlement : contactez Trust and Safety
