Wikisangamotsavam is the annual conference of Wikimedians of Kerala. The first Wikisangamotsavam was started on 2011. Every year we are organizing this annual conference as a gathering of active Wikimedians in Kerala. The main objective of the event is to increase the Wikimedia offline activities in Kerala, develop skills of the new Wikimedians and bring together all the Wikimedians in Kerala.

Wikisangamotsavam 2018 Location Details

General Information

The Wikisangamotsavam 2018 will take place on Vikas Auditorium, Kottappuram, Kodungallur, Thrissur District, Kerala on 19-21 January, 2019. The Accomodation of all participants are arranged at Vikas Auditorium itself. Accomodation is provided at free of cost. You must register to get a confirmation from the team.

How to Reach

The closest railway stations are at Thrissur and Aluva. For those traveling from North Kerala, Aluva railway station would be the suitable arrival station. For those traveling from South Kerala, Thrissur station is the suitable one. There are frequent buses from Thrissur to Kodungallur and from Aluva to Paravur to Kodungallur. Direct buses to Kodungallur are also available from Guruvayoor and Ernakulam transport stand/Vytila mobility hub.

Railway Station

• North Kerala -> Thrissur Railway station >> Take KSRTC Bus to Kodungallur (KSRTC Bus station is in walkable distace to Railwaystation) >> Taxi to Kottappuram.
• South Kerala -> Aluva Railway Station >> Take KSRTC Bus to Paravur (KSRTC Bus station is in walkable distace to Railwaystation) >> Bus to Kodungallur >> Taxi to Kottappuram.
• Ernakulam/Vyttila Mobility hub -> Take bus to Guruvayur and drop at Kodungallur >> Taxit to Kottappuram.

Airport

Nearest Airport is Cochin International Airport (COK) >> Take a Bus or taxi to Aluva >> Take bus to Pravur >> Take bus to Kodungallur

Kottappuram

From Kodungallur, it takes approximately 4.4 km to the venue at Kotappuram. Kotappuram is where the Kodungallur bypass begins. From here, it is possible to walk, bicycle or travel by Autorickshaw to Vikas auditorium.
