World Summit on Information Society

The World Summit on Information Society is organized by the International Telecommunication Union.

The first phase took place in Geneva in December 2003.

The second phase will take place in Tunis in December 2005.

• Pamphlets in several languages. The 6 official languages of the UNO are English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Russian and Chinese. English and French are essential. Arabic and Spanich will be useful.

Accreditation of Wikimedia Foundation

• The foundation should start the process to get official recognition from WSIS.
  • The form is avalaible from http://www.itu.int/wsis/docs2/accreditation/acr-form-cs.html

NB: It will be for PreCom3, not PreCom2 as written on the form.

"Entities who wish to participate in PrepCom-3 and/or the Summit and who were not accredited in previous PrepComs, should submit an accreditation request form to the Executive Secretariat at the latest 6 weeks before PrepCom-3."

PreCom3 will be September 19th to 30th, 2005.
