Duration and Process of leadership selection

  • The leadership team for the Assamese Wikimedia Community will be elected through a voting process on the Community Portal.
  • The leadership team will be renewed every two years. The new team will be elected in December of the second year, a month before the end of the existing team's term.
  • Any active Assamese Wikimedian can nominate themselves or other fellow Wikimedians for any leadership role.
  • Emphasis will be given to establish a leadership team with diverse skill sets across technical aspects, organization and community engagement and a balanced gender ratio.

Conflict Resolution

  • We encourage open and respectful communication among all members in the community including this group. Any non resolving conflicts within the group will be referred to the community at the village pump or any other appropriate place for amicable discussion and resolution.
  • Assamese Wikimedia Community follows specific policy for conflict resolution and abides by the Wikimedia Foundation Universal code of conduct. We encourage all members to familiarize themselves with these policies to ensure their work aligns with these.
