editDescription - On the occasion of International Volunteer Day, WMDE's Community Conferences & Volunteer Support team would like to express its appreciation for the voluntary engagement of those active in Wikimedia projects and, in doing so, to give a more detailed presentation of the support and recognition offered by Wikimedia Deutschland for voluntary engagement. For more information see description from last year's campaign under w:de:Wikipedia:Förderung/Wikimedia Deutschland/Förderung bewerben#Bannerkampagne zum Internationalen Tag des Ehrenamts.

edit- FYI: Last year's request. Disclaimer: I will likely not handle this campaign. Best, —DerHexer (Talk) 13:18, 11 November 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for the info! Since the campaign is due next week, I'm getting a little bit nervous. Who else could kindly handle my request? Best regards, Magda – Magdalena Horn-Costolloe (WMDE) (talk) 09:43, 26 November 2024 (UTC)
- @Magdalena Horn-Costolloe (WMDE): You can find the list of CN admins here and a short list of active admins here. However, I see that Ciell is occasionally active, too. (Without a ping and without this page on my watchlist, I almost didn't notice the former message.) Best, —DerHexer (Talk) 11:33, 26 November 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for your reply, @DerHexer, I didn't want to just randomly ping people, but here we go: @Johannnes89 , @Martin Urbanec , @Vermont - would any of you have the capacities of creating/activating this banner? Thanks a lot in advance, cheers Magda – Magdalena Horn-Costolloe (WMDE) (talk) 15:34, 26 November 2024 (UTC)
- As mentioned a couple of month ago to other WMDE members (e.g. [1][2]) I don't think WMDE should rely on volunteer resources – especially given that there are several WMDE central notice administrators. That's also what the new CN policy asks for [3]. I get that the WMDE FunTech team is currently busy with fundraising banners, but maybe that's a good time to finally start internal discussions about proper staffing (and better internal processes) for other WMDE banner campaigns. It's a shame that nothing has changed despite years of complaining. Johannnes89 (talk) 07:12, 27 November 2024 (UTC)

- @Magdalena Horn-Costolloe (WMDE): I've created the campaign and banner (preview) as requested. I've given it high(er) priority than the parallel WMDE Technical Wishes survey 2024 campaign because the other campaign is running much longer and will be displayed before and after this campaign here. — According to the new CN rules, a volunteer CN admin should check, approve and enable the campaign. For that reason I'm pinging @Ciell, Martin Urbanec, and Vermont: and kindly ask for your support. Best, Martin Rulsch (WMDE) (talk) 09:16, 4 December 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @Martin Rulsch (WMDE), @Magdalena Horn-Costolloe (WMDE), the banner looks good to me.
- I am a bit worried about the repeated cycle in the banner campaign, since logged in people would also be shown the WMDE Technical Wishes survey 2024 and in Baden-Württenberg the Meeting WP:WWO in Stuttgart on 20 December 2024 banners in the same period. Would it be an option to simply stay with the first run of 3 impressions? Ciell (talk) 10:25, 4 December 2024 (UTC)
- @Ciell: Sure. I've designed it to have at max one more cycle, but one will also do (maybe with 5 impressions then?). Thanks for the quick feedback! :) Best, Martin Rulsch (WMDE) (talk) 10:38, 4 December 2024 (UTC)
- Great, I've changed the impressions accordingly and enabled the campaign. Ciell (talk) 10:42, 4 December 2024 (UTC)
