Description - WikiScience Contest 2024 in French Wikipedia will be a new edition of several earlier contests for scientific photos on science in French Wikipedia. It is organized by the Wikimedia residencies in France. The residencies are funded by the French Ministry of Research.

• @DMontagne en résidence: Is it correct that there will be no campaign as it's only every second year and the last one was in 2023? So are you planning an individual campaign every year? WSC will not be held in 2024 (next time is indeed in 2025), but if countries want, they may have local science photo competitions. Over the years some countries have occasionally also held competitons in even-numbered years, but this is not centrally coordinated. Some other countries, like Estonia, have tried article competition in thouse years (example). Kruusamägi (talk) 12:02, 17 September 2024 (UTC)
