Description - In the frame of Wikidata's 10th birthday, we would like to display a banner on Wikidata to let people know about the events that will take place for the birthday in October. The banner is for logged in users on Wikidata only, and is translatable.

Metrics -

What banner(s) will you use? What will be your landing page?

Banners - Preview, Phabricator ticket

Landing Page - There are two buttons: "Events schedule" currently links to the list of events on wiki (but could possibly link to the proper calendar on Diff once it's set up) and "Run an event" links to the documentation on how to run an event.

Discussion

edit

FYI, I left a message on the discussion section of CentralNotice/Request/Wikiconcurso Direitos Humanos & Meio Ambiente to check if it would be OK to have both of our campaigns running in October. Lea Lacroix (WMDE) (talk) 06:12, 19 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Update: in order to give more visibility to CentralNotice/Request/Wikiconcurso Direitos Humanos & Meio Ambiente during their first week, I decided to start the Wikidata birthday campaign on October 13th. I updated the calendar accordingly. Lea Lacroix (WMDE) (talk) 06:41, 26 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
