Welcome to the Let's Connect Learning clinic on Gender Sensitivity Training within Wikimedia communities.Let's Connect in collaboration with the Campaigns Programs team of the Wikimedia Foundation.

Event Description

We invite you to participate in the Learning Clinic on Gender Sensitivity Training within Wikimedia community.

Who will share

The clinic will be led by Cassie Casares (Wikimedia Foundation), Bridgit Kurgat (Gender Lead, Wikimedia Foundation), Chinmayee Mishra (Let's Connect Liaison for the South Asia region) and Bukola James (Let's Connect Liaison sub-Saharan region).

What is the focus of the session?

• Raising awareness and understanding of gender sensitivity within the Wikimedia community.
• Enhancing inclusivity and diversity in Wikimedia spaces to create a more welcoming environment for all contributors.
• Implementing strategies and best practices to promote gender sensitivity and equality in content creation and interactions across Wikimedia projects.

What can you expect to learn during this session?

• Increased awareness and understanding of gender issues within the Wikimedia community.
• Improved inclusivity and diversity in Wikimedia spaces, leading to a more welcoming environment for all contributors.
• Best practices for promoting gender sensitivity and equality in content creation and interactions within Wikimedia projects.

When will the clinic take place?

The session will be held on Friday, November 22 between 3:00 pm-4:30 pm UTC.
