Learning

edit

Projects do not always go according to plan. Sharing what you learned can help you and others plan similar projects in the future. Help the movement learn from your experience by answering the following questions:

  • What worked well?

The Model Ecowas Summit delegates were very elated to know about Wikimedia Movement, different projects and also the privilege to join to contribute to open knowledge. It was a first of its kind; the Chairman of the Model ECOWAS greatly appreciated the partnership with their Commission as well as the opportunity to expose this year, 2021 delegates to something new.

  • What did not work so well?

The time allotted was not enough for the presentation I had, which was due to numerous events that were outlined for the Summit. Besides, I alone could not oversee the task of taking pictures and also attending to interested new users. I organised a mini meet up during the break of the day 2 where we had enough discussion, exchanged contact and also created a medium of communication for interested writers and delegates who attended the Summit.

  • What would you do differently next time?

Next time, I would appreciate the presence of one or two closest community members within the Nigerian Community to help ease the tasks and make the workload reduced.
