Like I said on the earlier request, there is no way we could finish reviewing this grant and (if approved) get the money to the organizers before the event is scheduled to take place (this coming weekend!).

I have not seen an acknowledgment of this fact yet -- what do the organizers intend to do? Are you going forward with this weekend on people's own resources, risking not getting reimbursed if this grant is not approved? Are you postponing the event?
