Dear Aidee MV and Silva Selva,

This report is so well done. It was such a pleasure to read it. Thank you for the obvious care and attention you have brought both to your project as a whole, and to documenting it in this report and in the many attachments referenced in this report. I have no doubt that your contributions to the Wikimedia movement will benefit many others far beyond the life of this grant.

I have used Google Translate to create an English version of this report in a Google doc at think link. If it is okay with you, I will probably use this Google doc to share your report with others who don't speak Spanish. Is this okay with you? If you like, I will share the doc with you directly so you can edit it if you wish before I share it any further.

I am approving this report now, with the following comments:

  • I am thrilled to see how carefully you are documenting your work for use by other libraries interested in replicating your work. This is even more valuable in light of your efforts to share about your project so that other libraries know about the opportunity and how to find your resources.
  • Wonderful progress toward your goals! It's great to see how far along you've already gotten.
  • Also wonderful to hear that _all_ staff librarians have been trained on Wikipedia! This is fantastic. I may have missed this figure, but can you tell me how many librarians in total have so far been trained?
We have trained all academic librarians at the Daniel Cosío Villegas Library (18 in total), plus some other librarians that have attended to the other workshops (8 in total). So we have a total of 26 librarians trained. We hope to train more when we open the librarians workshops to everyone.--Aidee MV (talk) 21:16, 5 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • It sounds like you expect to have an underspend. If you have thoughts about how you wish to spend leftover funds, please make sure to use the "Request a budget change" button on your Finances tab in order to indicate how you would like to spend these funds.
We won’t have an underspend, we have just optimize our expenses and we are doing 2 more edit-a-thons and 5 more workshops than we proposed originally.--Aidee MV (talk) 21:16, 5 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • It was heart-warming to read your grantee reflection. It's infectious to encounter your enthusiasm about the work you are doing, and the people you are doing it with.

Thank you so much for the good work you are doing! Our grants administrator will be in touch with you about next steps.

Warm regards,

--Marti (WMF) (talk) 23:25, 4 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

As another member of the Community Resources team, I also enjoyed reading the report with the figures and facts and also seeing your team's commitment to documentation. Congrats on making good progress on your goals, like on the gender edit-a-thon! I look forward to seeing where you take the project in the months ahead as you work with more libraries!
