The project team's efforts to develop materials that enable deeper engagements with the community on Movement Strategy, is commendable.

Here are some thoughts and feedback regarding your application. The MSG team had put together a set of pages recommended for translations which you will find in the Community Engagement Package for projects that aim to do similar activities to what you propose. This is essentially to translate key documents and use those translated pages to engage with the community on Movement Strategy, and encouraging others to take on Movement Strategy related projects themselves.

We ask that you please consider translating the recommended pages, instead of the whole MS playbook which is bulky and with mostly historical information. The Presentation slides of the Movement Strategy Playbook currently serve the purpose of giving the community enough historical context. YPam (WMF) (talk) 12:44, 20 January 2023 (UTC)

Thank you for the feedback. I will translate the list mentioned based on the MSG team's recommendation. I will stick with The Presentation slides of the Movement Strategy Playbook to cover the historical background and omit the playbook from the proposal. Extension Request

I hope you are doing well.

I recently conducted the first interactive session, which saw active participation from 18 individuals for 1.5 hour. The session featured a question-led introduction about MS, along with a scenario I designed to introduce the universal code of conduct and its recent updates to the Arabic community. I am thrilled to share that the participants greatly enjoyed the session and expressed their enthusiasm for further knowledge about MS.

Moving forward, the upcoming sessions will delve into the topics of the movement charter and leadership development. However, an extensive amount of vital information related to these subjects will be available only in July, after the conclusion of my grant period.

Considering the busy schedule of the Arabic community in June, with events such as Eid, Arabic Wikipedia Day, and other contests taking place, I believe it is crucial to provide individuals with the opportunity to attend and participate more efficiently. Therefore, I kindly request an extension until mid of August, allowing me to present comprehensive information on the movement charter and encouraging a greater number of people to join and actively engage in the upcoming conversations, and release content.

I discussed postponing the sessions with Arabic Window to MS initiative and the audience of the first session and dedicating a session for each topic. They expressed their support for this and shared that they need that for proper participation with the coming charter content. Thus, I am asking for an extension to the mid of August to be able to present more information.

Extension Request

Happy Wikimania. I hope you had good days.

My grant is due this month. I am writing to request an extension for another week till 7th of Sep 2023. I delivered the interactive sessions, and in the process of writing two reports. The first report will document how to conduct interactive sessions for future similar endeavors. The second one is for sharing results on Meta.

Unfortunately, during my journey to and from Wikimania through Egypt, I encountered substantial challenges with internet access and lacked access to a laptop for a considerable portion of the trip. These unforeseen circumstances have hindered my ability to finalize and polish the reports as planned. As a result, I kindly ask for an extension of one week, allowing me until September 7th to complete and submit the reports.

The extra time would greatly facilitate my efforts to ensure the quality and accuracy of the information I intend to share.
