Hello Spiritia thank you for submitting this grant request and my apologies for not getting to it earlier. Thank you for connecting with me in Wikimania and resolving the formatting issues. I have reviewed your grant request and would like to approve your project; however, we have one problem. As you can see in our Guidelines and Criteria page we only fund equipment that will be shared amongst community members. This means we don't fund equipment on individual grants. So we have two options:

1. You can remove the portable scanners from your request and we can proceed with the grant? or
2. Can you share with me on this discussion page your plan on how to share the portable scanners with community members and a link to a log that will be accessible to all who will use it?

Since Spasimir and I are still in Cape Town, let me come back to you after we're back and have discussed carefully the issue with the colleagues from the Lovech Library and with Justine.
