Welcome to Meta!

Hello, Spirita! I would like to contact you as the organizer of the Wikimedia CEE Spring 2019 contest about one problem with the contest and me. Yesterday I got acquainted with statistics of the Wikimedia CEE Spring contest and was surprised to see that in the section 15 hy.wikipedia in the chart of updated articles opposit to all 28 articles I updated instead of my username (Slava sahakyan) was marked «dummy». Please help me to find out and clarify - why and how did this happen? And answer me, please, is it possible to make an amendment? With best regards - Slava sahakyan

Hello Spiritia, and welcome to the Wikimedia Meta-Wiki! This website is for coordinating and discussing all Wikimedia projects. You may find it useful to read our policy page. If you are interested in doing translations, visit Meta:Babylon. You can also leave a note on Meta:Babel or Meta:Metapub (please read the instructions at the top of the page before posting there). If you would like, feel free to ask me questions on my talk page. Happy editing!

re:Nad / Nadina - please help

edit

Hello, Spiritia, please could You ask her if she can restore the password with password recovery on pl. Please make a list where she logged in when her sul was activated for the first time (like pl.wiki [1] (account created automatically is the message in the log if she did not "create" the account bug logged in while sul was on. I fear this sounds like a bug and if she can now not log in to all with sul generated accounts, we might have to file a bug report. :(
Please could You or her extend the list with the log-entry links and the info where the problems are.

Best regards, --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 12:30, 29 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hello Spiritia, please can You ask Nadina to try the password recovery (also tell her to look in the spam folder and to look if the email address in the homewiki is correct), and please let me know if the password recovery does not work, because I could not reproduce that problem, only the password problem.
Thanks a lot, best regards, --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 18:07, 30 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
Hello Birdy. You know that Nadina used to hold two SUL-s. Here is her report of the situation after these were deleted:
  • Account Nad_bg with 3 automatic account creations
    • no problems with login on de: and ru: (actually she requested rename on de: logged as Nad_bg),
    • on bg: she needed to obtain a new pass, and it was successfully sent to her email.
  • Account Nad however is not so lucky. 11 automatic account creations were made while it was a global account. After it was deleted, it stayed for about half a day free and then the other colleague, Meta User:Nad reserved it for himself. In the meanwhile we tested the automatic creations, we tested them now too. Here are the reports:
    • while the account was free, none of the 11 wikis allowed login, email could not be sent in any of the cases
    • after the account was re-taken by the other user, Nadina again tried to login, but could not and system again said that no valid email has been provided. Nota Bene! this time after the 5th wiki (yes, 5th different wiki, and not 5th attempt to guess the password in one and the same wiki!), the system returned message that as an antispam measure her login attempts are temporary blocked. She only managed to check be:, bs:, enwikiversity, cs: and hr:. Her sixth attempt was mk: and then it blocked her.
This is what I can report. I am sorry for these orphaned automatic account creations, which may be troublesome for the new owner of the global account Nad. Hope the bug will get fixed and will not trouble many people. Thank you again for all your help, you're a treasure! :-) Spiritia 18:57, 30 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for the answer (and the nice compliment!), yes I know of that spam-protection, quite annoying if one has to restore many accounts that have been lost due to this (it will work at a later time again, I don't know how long one is blocked though, it says some minutes, but I think it is longer, maybe some hour(s)). I guess the email is either really lost by this bug or entered wrong (or not confirmed), we can't check anymore :( However I could not reproduce that email problem, but I have reported it to the bugreport nevertheless, so the devs can have a look at it. Since Nadina was not producing these left over accounts intentionally to do someone harm, but was a victime of the bug herself and since she was so kind to leave the name "Nad" to the other person this one also has to do some work to get his name, if he wants it, don't worry about that.
With kind regards, --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 23:20, 30 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
Hi Spiritia, I know this problem. I reported it at bugzilla:14403, she can merge these accounts now, go to every wiki she owns and merge from there. (The bug is fixed, but not for the old deleted accounts). Which homewiki is taken she might not be able to influence, I fear she must live with it for now, I read it might be that this could be changed later, but that is not sure.
Please let me know if it worked, best regards, --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 12:25, 8 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
I am very glad it worked, finally she has a working sul :) it is a pitty that the homewiki gets mixed up, but well... Mind if I do not delete the screenshot for now, it might be of help for others who read about that on my talkpage (only if You don't mind).
Warm regards to You too, and thank You so much for helping all those people on bgwiki :) --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 13:07, 8 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Translation Update

edit

I want to thank you for your help translating throughout this year's fundraiser. The fundraiser has greatly benefited from all your contributions. Currently, the Kartika, Liliaroja, Abbas and Joan Gomà appeals need to be translated, as we are running appeals from editors. You can find all translation requests at the translation hub on meta and you can follow the progress of the fundraiser in real time by tracking the fundraiser statistics. It is important to check the Core Messages as many languages still need updating. Also if you haven't already, you can subscribe to the translators-l mailing list for all new requests and major changes. Many thanks for your help in truly making this a global fundraiser that you can edit.Klyman 20:24, 7 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Board of Trustees' candidates

Hi Spiritia, I saw you single-handed translated all the candidates' profiles for the Board of Trustees elections, and in a record time. I wanted to show all my appreciation for this. Thanks a lot!--Ferdinando Scala 13:01, 13 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hello, Fernando. Good that you mention this, as I just saw that three new applications have been identified and are waiting for translation. One of them being in German, which means that this job will no more be single-handed, as my knowledge of the language is really very very basic. :D Thank you for the support and wish you a good luck on the elections! Hi Spiritia. Thanks from me as well! I have one question though. Google translate tells me that you translated here "Dutch" in "Danish", which is not correct. I'm from the Netherlands and not from Denmark. Is it possible that you translated it wrongly or is Google translate not correct. If so, I apologise myself for asking this. :-) Regards, Trijnstel 15:59, 28 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Translator, We need you!

edit

Dear Spiritia,

You have helped us in previous years with translations and for that we are most grateful. Now we turn towards the 2011/12 fundraiser. It may seem forever away, but work has already begun getting everything ready to go. This year we want to have landing pages covering as many countries in as many languages as possible.

Right now, we want to figure out who is interested in translating for the fundraiser. This year we're hoping to have more of a solidified "core" group of translators that we can count on to have work done by a few key dates, but we'd also welcome help from people who are willing to just help out when they can.

If you would be interested please take a look at this little sign-up survey and fill it out http://survey.wikimedia.org/index.php?sid=13638&newtest=Y&lang=en. With that we can start building a list of people and filling any gaps in the languages we serve.

Many Thanks

This barnstar is given to you for your help with the 2011 fundraiser translation.

Hi! I just want to thank you and give you this barnstar for your help with the translation of the 2011 fundraiser! The fundraiser was the best we ever had, both in terms of the amount we collected and in terms of number of translations. We couldn't have done either one without the help we got from you and other translators. If you are interested, we made a report, which has some statistics about the translations.

And: I have one more request, and that is that you take this survey. You may have got an e-mail about it, and if you did, please ignore this. But if you didn't it would be great if you would take this survey too, so we can learn to improve the translation experience.

Again, thanks for your help with translations – you're awesome! Jon Harald Søby (WMF) 14:31, 24 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Translate some names for hundreds software projects including MediaWiki

edit

Hello, I'm writing you because you subscribed to a Language support team. As you know, Wikimedia projects exist in almost 300 languages; supporting them all is a big effort so we partner with other organisations. One small but visible thing we miss is that many interwiki links in sidebar (among others) don't offer a translation of the language name when hovered. We're now able to translate 100 more language names in your language.

If you're interested, I can create you an account to submit translations on the CLDR web tool (within June 14): please send an email to ask one and I'll follow up with instructions. On CLDR you can translate and tweak many other things, if you desire; your work will impact hundreds of software projects. Thanks, Nemo 17:58, 2 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to the Grant Advisory Committee

edit

Hi Spiritia,
Thanks for signing up to join the Grant Advisory Committee! It is my pleasure to confirm your membership. We've got a lot to accomplish together and it will be awesome to have your help. Here's how to get started:

To make your membership official, please do two things by January 23rd.

  1. Introduce yourself in the IdeaLab.
  2. Send your email address and preferred username to awang wikimedia.org, so that I can subscribe you to the committee mailing list.

Then there are two initial tasks for active committee members to start on right away:

  1. Read the information in the Committee Workroom (your committee organizing hub on meta), beginning with the getting started guide for new members.
  2. Start reviewing open ideas, drafts and proposals to familiarize yourself with current and past discussions. Feel free to comment now or wait until we've done orientation.

I will be sending out an orientation email to new members this coming week, so please keep an eye out!

Thanks again for joining us to help make impactful Project and Event Grants :-) Alex Wang (WMF) (talk) 01:18, 17 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

@AWang (WMF): Alex, sorry, I did the introduction and I sent you the requested email on 20th, did it reach you? Spiritia 19:18, 24 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

Translating the interface in your language, we need your help

edit
Hello Spiritia, thanks for working on this wiki in your language. We updated the list of priority translations and I write you to let you know. The language used by this wiki (or by you in your preferences) needs about 100 translations or less in the priority list. You're almost done!

To add or change translations for all wikis, please use translatewiki.net, the MediaWiki localisation project.

Please register on translatewiki.net if you didn't yet and then help complete priority translations (make sure to select your language in the language selector). With a couple hours' work or less, you can make sure that nearly all visitors see the wiki interface fully translated. Nemo 14:06, 26 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

If you are interested:Global renamer flag

edit

Hi, I hope I am not bothering you. I just want to inform you about a possibilty here on meta. After the SUL finalization there is a search for additional Global_renamers. Maybe you already knew that,

As I did with other local bureaucrats with knowledge of "minor"/"uncommon" languages, I am contacting you because at the moment in Global_renamers#Users_with_global_rename_access and Stewards#List_of_current_stewards, if I correctly remember, noone is bg>3. there is one bg-2 maybe but that's it. I think that with your cross-wiki experience and your local experience as a bureaucrat on bg.wikiquote.org you could be useful.

I see you are quite busy now, but if you want to be more involved in the future, feel free to apply. We have accepted in the past months candidates with much lower cross-wiki activity, bureaucrat experience or language skills than you, so you probably have good chance.

Please notice that I am not an expert user on meta nor a local bureaucrat, I just care about the "variety" of the meta environment and I though that it was useful to inform some local bureaucrats of the opportunity.

I am contacting other bg-N sysops/bureaucrats in the following months, but if you know some profile who might be interested, please let him/her know this "opportunity".--Alexmar983 (talk) 15:50, 5 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

#100wikidays Barnstar

edit

Hi Spiritia !

Please accept my deepest thanks for the barnstar you offered to me today, and for the creation of the #100wikidays challenge.

By the way : did you notice that, to pay tribute to your country, my hundredth article was about a bulgarian event, the Black Box International Festival, which takes place in Plovdiv? I also created it in french.

I really estimated the humor which presided over the creation of your hundredth article!

All the best,

Trace (talk) 12:26, 27 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

PS : too bad, the Black Box International Festival article is proposed for deletion on the english wiki because of a lack of external sources showing the event's notability. I hop to get rid of this proposal before September 3!

@Trace:, thanks, it's really so kind of yours! I added some information about the history of the festival and its ninth edition in 2015, adding references from solid sources. Left a message on the talk page and notified there you and the proposer for deletion. Hope this helps!  :) Spiritia 14:16, 27 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
Waow! This was fast! I am sure it will help. I wrote to the festival, asking for international press references. Trace (talk) 14:47, 27 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
More recent news : the user Piotrus replied on the article's talk page to thank you and suggested to ask for some input from the en.wiki's WikiProject Bulgaria's editors. Which I did. Best, Trace (talk) 12:06, 28 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for notifying me. Well, if 9 years in Wikipedia and 70,000+ edits are not enough to qualify as experienced, then I don't know what does. :) Spiritia 18:21, 28 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

The very useful #100wikidays article list

edit

Dear Spiritia,

the #100wikidays page is very useful : it allows users to discover pages they wouldn't have discovered without the challenge - and sometimes to translate them in their own language. Yesterday, for me, it was the oloid : I had never heard about it and I am still amazed. That is why a daily contribution on this page is useful : it makes you discover the other contributions of the day. Cheers. Trace (talk) 09:37, 30 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

PS : By the way, do you know the gömböc? You might like this kind of a cousin of the oloid!

Movement skills

edit

Hey, Spiritia! Cornelius pointed me to the slides of your WMCEE presentation. Very cool! I'm currently following up on a communications workshop that Katherine Maher, Juliet Barbara and I held at Wikimedia Conference Berlin. In order to tackle some of the many question among Wikimedia communications people we've dedicated a page to movement communication skills. I've responded to some questions there. The page has a section on press-related questions. I was wondering if you could add your slides there and maybe share some of your tips. I think they'd be very helpful. What do you say? Also, you're most welcome to review my input! I'll add some more information regarding pitching formats tomorrow. I plan to ping the communications mailing list later this week, specifically in preparation for Wikipedia 15. Cheers, Michael Jahn WMDE (talk) 19:17, 16 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

Thank you, Michael and Cornelius for the connection. I saw 2-3 places where I might be able to contribute. Let me first finish some more urgent things (wiki and non-wiki related) and will come back to this page around the weekend. In the meanwhile, please take from this presentation as much as you would like/need to. :) Spiritia 20:02, 16 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

Movement Wide Finance Report 2014

edit

Dear Spiritia,

I’m Alex, currently a finance fellow (i.e intern) at the Wikimedia Foundation. I worked before for Wikimedia France, planning the Hackathon Lyon 2015 mainly. I'm today contacting you because of your activity for Wikimedia Bulgaria User Group. Iliev directed me to you.

Last year, Finance Fellows produced a financial report that included financial activity from every chapters. It was great and has been presented at the Wikimania in Mexico.

If you haven’t seen the results of the Report 2013, here they are: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Chapter-wide_Financial_Trends_Report_2013

We’re currently starting the Report 2014 and this year we also want to include user groups to improve the scope of our work. I want to tell you that I’ve tried to make the process as short and easy as possible, so that shouldn’t require a lot of your time.

The aim of such a report is global. It helps having an idea of how the money is used across the movement, it helps chapters and user groups to learn about best practice and finally it leads to more transparency through a qualitative work, which I believe is important.

Could you briefly tell me if you had any income and expenses in 2014? If you are not the person responsible for this, please tell me who is the user the most likely to know this information.

I’ll be your contact for this project this year, I’m looking forward to working with you!

Cheers, ACella (WMF) (talk) 18:45, 6 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hello, Alex, the Wikimedians of Bulgaria UG has started functioning in late December 2014, when we got the agreement with WMF signed (me and Dimi being the representatives). During this time the user group has been involved in multiple activities (attendance of wiki events, GLAM cooperations, educational projects, media outreach. You can see a very brief overview of our activities in 2015 here, it will serve as the basis of our first annual report.
However, the user group has no legal body so far, and none of these activities mentioned has been funded by any income on the behalf of the user group. We all do things voluntarily, and attendance to international events has been made possible by successful applications for travel scholarships. Interested members from our wiki community established the instrument of microgrants, but the source here are the personal donations of two Wikipedians, only operated by me (purchasing items, collecting receipts). There is an idea to establish a shared bank account in order to apply for PEG-s in future, but so far this has not been done (will be done in November 2015).
Please let me know if this information is enough, or you need extra information/clarification. Spiritia 15:03, 7 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
Hi Spiritia! Thank you very much for your cooperation and your fast answer! It's much appreciated! That will be enough for the report. Good luck with the Bulgarian User Group, I'm sure you'll do an amazing work!

Inspire Campaign on content curation & review

edit

I've recently launched an Inspire Campaign to encourage new ideas focusing on content review and curation in Wikimedia projects. Wikimedia volunteers collaboratively manage vast repositories of knowledge, and we’re looking for your ideas about how to manage that knowledge to make it more meaningful and accessible. We invite you to participate and submit ideas, so please get involved today! The campaign runs until March 28th.

All proposals are welcome - research projects, technical solutions, community organizing and outreach initiatives, or something completely new! Funding is available from the Wikimedia Foundation for projects that need financial support. Constructive feedback on ideas is welcome - your skills and experience can help bring someone else’s project to life. Join us at the Inspire Campaign to improve review and curation tasks so that we can make our content more meaningful and accessible! I JethroBT (WMF) 05:39, 29 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for your participation in IdeaLab during the Inspire Campaign focused on improving content curation & review processes from February to March 2016. I'm interested in hearing your feedback about your participation during campaign, so if you're able, I invite you to complete this brief survey to describe how you contributed to the campaign and how you felt about participating.

Immediate results of the campaign can be found here. Please feel free to review them and let me know if you have any questions about the campaign or the survey. Thanks! I JethroBT (WMF) (talk) 02:31, 26 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

(Opt-out instructions)

Through June, we’re organizing an Inspire Campaign to encourage and support new ideas focusing on addressing harassment toward Wikimedia contributors. The 2015 Harassment Survey has shown evidence that harassment in various forms - name calling, threats, discrimination, stalking, and impersonation, among others - is pervasive. Available methods and systems to deal with harassment are also considered to be ineffective. These behaviors are clearly harmful, and in addition, many individuals who experience or witness harassment participate less in Wikimedia projects or stop contributing entirely.

Proposals in any language are welcome during the campaign - research projects, technical solutions, community organizing and outreach initiatives, or something completely new! Funding is available from the Wikimedia Foundation for projects that need financial support. Constructive feedback on ideas is appreciated, and collaboration is encouraged - your skills and experience may help bring someone else’s project to life. Join us at the Inspire Campaign so that we can work together to develop ideas around this important and difficult issue. With thanks,

Otherwise, you would decide to continue as if nothing happened, proud and happy with the many more article Wikipedia will have after the (real) end of your challenge. So, whatever has happened, don't think too much about it, you have already achieved too much in order to ignore it! :) Bests, Spiritia 05:41, 21 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

Dear Vassia,
Last year you were the local organiser of CEE Spring in Bulgaria and we invite you to participate in this year's contest! Please subscribe to the mailing list of the local organisers at https://lists.wikimedia.bg/mailman/listinfo/ceespring-localorganisers, add your community at the Meta page with the participants and discuss this year's edition of the contest on its talk page (Talk:Wikimedia CEE Spring 2017/Participants). 100wikidays: 100th article

edit

Hi Spiritia!

I have noticed you were kind enough to thank me for my suggestion that the 100 wikidays alumni would pay tribute to you by having their hundredth article concerning Bulgaria.

Did you notice this suggestion had any success? I have checked the french alumni: only one among them, Pradigue, did it : he wrote an article about Pistiros, an Ancient Greek trade center, in Ancient Thrace (the bulgarian article about it does not exist, I'm afraid to say).

I still hope this small suggestion found success, and that many new articles related to Bulgaria were written on many wikis!

Best,

your first non-stop recidivist alumni, Trace (talk) 10:53, 5 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hello, Trace, if I ever knew, I had obviously forgotten who proposed this (truly fantastic!) idea, but this question arose when Farah announced yesterday that he's entering the final part of his 100commonsdays, the one that "per tradition" is to be dedicated to Bulgaria. So, explicit and enormous Thank You! for your beautiful and generous idea for these tributes to Bulgaria. I think many people have since then adopted it, like Dandelo, Artificial123, Achim Raschka, Penny Richards, Ανώνυμος Βικιπαιδιστής, again Fjmustak in his 100wikidays, Millars, GeoO, Lilitik22, Maor X, Telaneo (in both his runs), Meursault2004 (with a series of 10 BG-related articles!!!), Patricio.lorente, SeoMac (his final 4 articles in the first run), Pnapora, Masti... and of course Pradigue, and I hope I am not missing someone... So, yeah, you've got quite many followers, I'd say. :) I also owe *them* a Thank You note, too! :) Guys, you've made many of my days! :) Spiritia 13:35, 5 February 2017 (UTC)Reply
Great! I am very pleased to hear that! Vive la Bulgarie !   Trace (talk) 16:55, 5 February 2017 (UTC)Reply
Hey! Just an idea! Couldn't we create a page, something like 100wikidays/100tharticle or 100wikidays/Bulgaria, to list the articles created during 100wikidays and related to Bulgaria? That would be nice!
And why not create another challenge, this time for the bulgarian wikipedians: translate all of these articles in bulgarian, in case they do not exist on the bulgarian wikipedia! What do you think? Best, Trace (talk) 17:07, 5 February 2017 (UTC)Reply
If you want to get started, here's mine: Mary Haskell. (Most of my 100 articles were American women; Haskell was an American missionary in Bulgaria.)-- Penny Richards (talk) 18:47, 5 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

Превод

edit

Spiritia 21:07, 15 February 2017 (UTC)Reply
Spiritia 21:45, 15 February 2017 (UTC)Reply
Чудесно е, как го измисли само! Ей сега ще го намяткам навсякъде. Благодаря ти!--Ket (talk) 09:46, 16 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

CEE Newsletter - November 2017

edit

Dear Spiritia, please indicate where the time-bound rule of the newsletter relies, as I have missed it, or I will follow the example of Corfupedia presented in the same page for Greece in November 2017 issue, that is an old activity. My guess was that groups that did not have the chance to make an entry in the first CEE newsletter, this of October 2017, could take the chance to give the highlights they prefer from the full list of their last six months activities. This seemed fair to me and I followed it. So please give me the frame and I will adjust accordingly.   ManosHacker talk 08:33, 1 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

The time-bound rule is self-evident, I think. And it is not about "taking missed chances" but about having an informative and topical newsletter. The frame, as I said, shouold refer to end of October / November. If you have planned any events for December, they are welcome, too. I will check the Corfupedia thing, too. it consists of the textobook about web based writing on wikibooks (https://sl.wikibooks.org/wiki/Nova_pisarija) and Wikiversity pages for my courses: https://sl.wikiversity.org/wiki/Strokovno_pisanje , https://sl.wikiversity.org/wiki/Uvod_v_%C5%A1tudij_slovenske_knji%C5%BEevnosti , https://sl.wikiversity.org/wiki/Magistrski_seminar , etc., pointing to Wikisource, where we build a national repository of all the belletristic texts in Slovene language (https://sl.wikisource.org/wiki/Wikivir:Slovenska_leposlovna_klasika) and to the students' assesments at Wikipedia.

of course, uploading images onto wikimedia commons is a part of the job. please peep into the the work done, i would appreciate your comments. a short report for the wiki newsletter follows, miran

[Wikipedia & Education User Group] Updates: November 2018

edit

Greetings,

Integrating Wikimedia with education is a powerful strategy for the outreach of Wikimedia projects. Realising this concept, a group of leaders promoted this and formed the Wikipedia Education Collaborative. After some time, this evolved to become a user group, officially recognised by the Affiliations Committee in June 2018. The user group had its first board elections earlier in September. In the process to formalise activities and give a shape the user group for long-term sustainability, we are now revamping our processes. Thanks for supporting us during incubation stages, we are now inviting you to formally join the user group by following the instructions on the members' page. Being a member will allow you to be a part of this wonderful collaboration and also do interesting stuff.

Kind regards

A problem with Wikimedia CEE Spring 2019 contest

edit

Hello, Spiritia!

The problem has been handled locally in Armenian Wikipedia. The user has been answered in the Facebook thread. Spiritia 12:25, 9 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Helo, Spiritia! Let me inform You that there are not any practical positive changes yet. Tell me, please, how long will that process with the bot last? Several days? A week? More than a week? With best regards - Slava sahakyan

Hello, Spiritia! It took a whole week, but my updated articles have not yet been added to the list of authors. What we can to undertake? Slava sahakyan

Dear Spiritia,

Just finished 100wikidays

edit

Hi! That's it: I've just finished. It was my second attempt, first succesful one. This one I was making Qs for small monuments in the Valencian Community. So I had some trouble trying to find something Bulgarian... I've found Belgian, French, German stuff. But nothing from Bulgaria. So my last Q is a British locomotive; it's in Gandia that is home to the largest Bulgarian community in the Land of Valencia, some 3,000 Bulgarians. I didn't know that and I was quite surprised (it was not my habitual suspect). I'll move on with more of this little monuments, but not on a daily basis. It was great! Hello Spiritia, will there be a contest CEE Spring Women 2021 as in the previous years? Best regards from Germany --Maimaid (talk) 10:47, 15 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

@Maimaid:. Sure. It's alive and kicking. :) I confirm being a prize giver this year as well, and will love to see other people joining as either contributors or prize givers. Spiritia 18:20, 22 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hi!

In Cape Town you introduced me to Dixit. I played it with my family recently, and everyone loved it. Thanks! Amir E. Aharoni (talk) 11:04, 24 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

I hope you are well, considering.

I would like to invite you to a meeting next week, with Wiki Movimento Brasil User Group, to start a hopeful conversation about the next GLAM-Wiki conference. I am contacting you as a past attendee of a GLAM-Wiki conference. There will be a first meeting on Tuesday 25 May at 12pm UTC followed by another on Thursday 27 May at 5pm UTC. You can always find the most up-to-date information about the GLAM & Culture team's office hours on Meta. FRomeo (WMF) (talk) 11:29, 18 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

I am sorry to say that we needed to reschedule today's meeting. The meetings will now happen on Thursday 27 May at 3pm UTC and on Tuesday 1 June at 10am UTC. Chen Almog, the Foundation's Senior Program Officer for Conference & Events Grants, will also join the Tuesday meeting. The times and Zoom links are available on this page. All my best, FRomeo (WMF) (talk) 10:44, 25 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Postcards for CEE Women 2021?

edit

Hello Spiritia, now November has begun and the year will soon end...I wanted to be a prize giver, too, and send postcards to the participants from my hometown, but I did not receive a list with their addresses yet. Have you sent your postcards already or have your plans changed? I hope that you are at good health! Best regards --Maimaid (talk) 16:29, 5 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

@Spiritia: Is there a special reason why you didn't answer up to now? Maimaid (talk) 22:53, 17 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

100wikidays 2023/2024

edit

Hello Spiritia! I took on the 100wikidays challenge for the first time at the turn of the year. Having only now learnt that you were the initiator, I was delighted that the article en:Ekaterina Karawelowa was also created. Best regards from Germany.
