@Megs and Pharos: thanks for the chat yesterday. As president of Wiki NYC you know the chapter budget and goals of the chapter. We discussed that I made this application quickly because this event is a month away. This application was originally a request for an "individual" grant. Megs, I understand that you are talking with Winifred, Wiki NYC's grant officer at the WMF, about whether to attempt to fund this project with a re-allocation of Wiki NYC funds or by pursuing this rapid grant application.

With time so short I am not sure what to do. I had submitted this for WMF grant team review already. Now the form might not be proper for a grant to an organization versus an individual, but I thought that this application should stay live in hopes of a preliminary response.

I understand that that this project has strategic importance to Wiki NYC as a public media / nonprofit media collaboration and I hope that by posting the outline of the situation here I am helping to facilitate whatever review is needed to consider whether there is funding for this. Thanks. I hope that you can identify the right person and path to manage this! Blue Rasberry (talk) 19:13, 1 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hello @Megs and Pharos:, will this be funded by Wiki NYC funds or would you like to go forward with this rapid grant. Please let us know so we can review accordingly. Best regards, WJifar (WMF) (talk) 23:46, 12 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
