Grants talk:Project/Rapid/World classics in Ukrainian Vocal contest/Report
Latest comment: 6 years ago by A1
Hello A1, thank you for submitting your grant report. We are happy to see that a few entities have shown interest in your project. Here are some questions and comments for your consideration:
- You mention in your outcome that you will be uploading more files in February. Will be able to update us on where that process is now?
- What changes do you plan to apply to contest rules moving forward?
- Lastly, thank you for letting us know about the remaining funds. We will apply the funds to your next proposal as you have indicated.
I am accepting your grant report and expense documentation. Best regards, WJifar (WMF) (talk) 11:00, 2 April 2018 (UTC)
- Hi WJifar (WMF). Thank you for accepting a report and thank you for your interest to the project and questions. New uploads are still in progress. I had quite a difficult winter and unfortunately did not succed with it yet. As for today I counted 35 files and plan to increase up to 50. Hope to update the information soon.
- As for changes we are thinking about a special nomination for own translation by a singer. This could motivate singers to pertorm more translations and to envolve more vocal works into the project. Also I`m thinking about preparing new free translation by Schubert, Schumann and Vagner in a same way as it was done in Chopin project a year ago - singers and poets who have a gift for vocal translation will collaborate on a list of works by this composers. If this project will succed we could enlarge a list of translated works proposed and increase a choice of free translations in this way. I`m thinking forward for the next vocal contest though I`m not sure we`ll be ready for it soon. --A1 (talk) 20:32, 10 April 2018 (UTC)
