Hi Рөстәм Нурыев, Borovi4ok, and everyone else that helped contribute to this report. Thank you for submitting a detailed report -- we appreciate the opportunity to learn more about how the project is going. It sounds like the activities are running smoothly and you are getting more engagement than you expected. We have a few follow-up questions.

  1. Do you have event pages where you keep track of participants usernames and articles improved/created? It would be great to track this over time Here is an example of a good event page that includes the event details, participants, a worklist of articles, and outcomes. I would also encourage you to look at the Program and Events Dashboard to see if you would like it to track your events. You can read more about it here. This page you've created is great because it gives short descriptions of the events and some photos, but we would like to also see participant and articles lists for events where appropriate.
en: Thank you for the recommendation. This appears to be an excellent tool in which to monitor the activities of users participating in specific events. I have created a tool to monitor the activities of the newcomers to the Bashkir Wikipedia. Besides, we have created an English page of Current events; in it, we will list the accounts of users participating in specific events. We hope that our colleagues Visem, Borovi4ok, ZUFAr will maintain the page up to date.
  2. The number of articles created (1,529) in just three months is very impressive! Why do you think so many more were created than you expected? What type of articles are they?
en: Competitive environment edit-a-thons create a lot of motivation for the participating users. Over this time period, the Bashkir Wikimedians have participated in the following marathons:
100 (stage 2: 21 Feb 2017 — 31 May 2017), 5) Wikimedia CEE Spring 2017 (21 Mar 2017 — 31 May 2017).
  3. We understand the challenges you face in trying to remotely train people that are not as technically comfortable with that type of learning model. Maybe it is best to focus on in-person training or online training only for younger students.
en: Yes, we agree to your recommendation. We already do small training for starting editors.
  4. You also noted that you would like to "work to improve the training levels of lead editors, the leaders of separate projects, activity areas and Wiki-clubs". What are your priorities in terms of train-the-trainer capacity building? Is it project management, technical editing skills, teaching methods. We would be interested to know since we have supported a number of train-the-trainer workshops and may have resources to share.
en: Basically all activity areas are important to us. However, at this stage we focus more on attracting and training new contributors.
--Рөстәм Нурыев (talk) 11:36, 16 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
  5. Access to laptops and reliable internet connection is an issue in many places around the world. Please note that we are able to provide user groups with funds to purchase a few laptops and wireless routers, we cannot fund the purchase of laptops for individuals.
en: We understand this, and do not plan to purchase laptops in the future.
  6. If you would like to extend the timeline of the grant without additional funding, you can make a request an extension at the bottom of the timeline page.
en: OK. We need to extend the timeline of the grant without additional funding, and we will make an approriate request.

Thank you again for all your great work supporting the Bashkir community! Cheers, Alex Wang (WMF) (talk) 19:03, 10 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
