The tournament is being hosted in ten stadiums in eight cities, despite being nine at the time of the tournament's award[1]. The initial candidacy featured Meadow Lane at Nottingham and London Road at Peterborough[2], che sono stati successivamente sostituiti dagli stadi City Ground always in Nottingham et St Mary's in Southampton to meet the UEFA requirements[3]. The City Ground stadium was later replaced with Leigh Sports Village in Leigh for refurbishment[1]. On 23 February 2020 it was announced that Old Trafford in Manchester would also host only the first match of the European championship on 7 July 2022, thus bringing the number of lifts to 10.[4].
