Activities

Iran was part of Wiki loves monument 2019 and as a result, we received around 2500 files which were uploaded to commons.

we had our first #1Lib1Ref campaign in Iran as a result of we had 28 participants and 576 references were added to 513 articles. top 3 participants received Wikipedia T-shirt.

Wikipedia Library

as a result of work with the Wikipedia Library team and the local resources, we were about to offer dozens of accounts to paid resources. These accounts were used to make Wikipedia a richer environment for its users and readers. A few users also received a hard copy of the books they needed for their articles.

Education program

Like many past years, we had an Education program running multiple universities and educational institutes as a result of these efforts many students and their teachers used Wikipedia as a supplementary tool in their classes.

Iranian Wikimedians User Group also was part of Wikipedia Asian Month 2019 and Bridges across Cultures and Interwiki Women Collaboration and some other international activities. We also worked on some educational videos to teach Wikipedia in an online environment. We are also working on our First podcast called Radio wiki which is published on November 5.
