Template inclusion policy?

What is the policy on whether or not a template should be created in the main namespace? Although not entirely necessary, part of me would like to move my profile template at User:Theki/profile to the Template namespace (and likely similar for the bespoke Scribunto module that it uses). This is mostly so I can leverage TemplateStyles. Is it okay for me to do this and is there a point to it in this context? What determines if a template is and is not suitable for inclusion in the entire Template namespace, rather than simply being contained in a User subpage or similiar? — rae5e <talk> 06:21, 1 March 2025 (UTC)

TemplateStyles don't actually require that the page be in template namespace - you can create css subpages of modules directly, or create a CSS subpage in template namespace and then move it to any other namespace and it will still work. * Pppery * it has begun 16:28, 1 March 2025 (UTC)
Oh, I had assumed that CSS files were required to be created in Template subpages to be marked as sanitized CSS. This will do, I believe. Thank you! — rae5e <talk> 22:22, 1 March 2025 (UTC)
