Developing and Drafting the Wikimedia 2030 Movement Strategy Recommendations
Close to 100 Wikimedians from around the world formed into the nine thematic area working groups. They held rich discussions on key change areas for the future of our Movement, and drafted a total of 89 recommendations to help us advance in our strategic direction and its objectives of knowledge equity and knowledge as a service. The nine working groups were:

Support and Guidance for the Wikimedia 2030 Movement Strategy Process
The Core Team is responsible for guiding, facilitating and supporting the Wikimedia 2030 process, its operations, logistics, and focus. The people who have been part of the Core Team during the two-year process are: Abbad Diraneyya, Anna Lena Schiller, Anna Rees, Bhavesh Patel, Douglas Ssebaggala, Ellie McMillan, Jodi McMurray, Kaarel Vaidla, Kelsi Stine-Rowe, Mehrdad Pourzakikhani, Nicole Ebber, Szymon Grabarczuk, and Tanveer Hasan.
Community strategy liaisons act as a bridge between language communities and the Movement Strategy Process: Anass Sedrati (Arabic), Christoph Jackel (German), Diane Ranville (French), Francesc Fort (Spanish), Gereon Kalkuhl (German), Lucas Teles (Portuguese), Liang-chih ShangKuan (Chinese), Rupika Sharma (Hindi).
Last, but not least, we appreciate the leadership and guidance of Katherine Maher, Executive Director of the Wikimedia Foundation, and Nicole Ebber of Wikimedia Deutschland for the process overall, the design work of Kaarel Vaidla and Bhavesh Patel, process governance of Wikimedia Foundation Board of Trustees, and their chair María Sefidari, and thoughtful insights and reflections from Abraham Taherivand, Executive Director of Wikimedia Deutschland, and Ryan Merkley, Chief of Staff at the Wikimedia Foundation, to improve the process.
