In StatMediaWiki Classic, results are static HTML pages including tables and graphics that can help to analyze the wiki status and development. Some functionalities in StatMediaWiki are adapted from those in StatSVN. Due to the output is static (a set of files sorted in directories), Classic is focused in small wikis and communities.

It has a command-line interface. It eases its automatic invocation and publication of it results in a web server.

Installation and use

edit

StatMediaWiki is platform-independent software, it is known to work in GNU/Linux and Windows.

GNU/Linux

edit
  1. Reach or import the wiki you want to analyse.
  2. Install dependencies, e.g. on Ubuntu/Debian $ sudo apt-get install python python-gnuplot python-mysqldb subversion .
  3. Fetch the package: $ svn checkout https://forja.rediris.es/svn/statmediawiki .
  4. Write your ~/.my.cnf and run smw.py appropriately, see [1].

If the script crashes with KeyError: 100 or similar, run the deleteOrphanedRevisions.php script found in the maintenance directory of your MediaWiki core checkout.[2]
