- Personal info: I have moved into a new phase of life and am finding it hard to stay both active and engaged as a steward while still contributing content and remaining involved in the community. Therefore, I am not running for confirmation, and am resigning when the confirmation results are carried out in early March.
At nearly 10 years from when I started editing, I plan to focus what time I have on content work on the English Wikipedia, building up the Wikidata community, and contributing to global and local policy discussions as time allows. I thank the community for their trust over this past year, and kindly ask for your support as I continue in a different role. --Rschen7754 06:53, 5 February 2015 (UTC)

--Rschen7754

edit- Thanks for all your work in the past year, especially with regards to AAR, and good luck in your future roles, whichever they might be. Vogone (talk) 18:01, 8 February 2015 (UTC)

- Symbolic Keep. Rschen7754's work as a steward has been excellent, their dedication to AAR and their wise counsel on other matters will be sorely missed. I hope that at some point later in the future they consider becoming a steward again, as the Wikimedia community has greatly benefitted from their work in this position. - Remove – rude and deliberately unhelpful hat-collector, who doesn't even know (or pretends not to know) the difference between a public rename and a sock[2], and so is obviously not qualified to be a steward (or checkuser, for that matter). ~ DanielTom (talk) 00:32, 11 February 2015 (UTC)
- Since he's resigning anyway, I think your comment is a bit rude. PiRSquared17 (talk) 01:51, 11 February 2015 (UTC) (modified comment)
- It was not my idea to make resigning stewards have to go through a "confirmation" discussion, but since we are having one and Rschen only plans to resign in March, and so many people are commenting "keep", it is only right that I also offer my sincere opinion on the user based on personal experience—I'm afraid you can't make me feel bad about it. ~ DanielTom (talk) 02:18, 11 February 2015 (UTC)

- Hmm, let's see, you're complaining about this steward's "rude" behavior at enwiki, and I don't see that at enwiki, but what I do see is that you're blocked indefinitely at enwiki. --AmaryllisGardener talk 03:01, 11 February 2015 (UTC)

- At this time, I would like to thank those who left their regards on this page. I will be staying on an additional few days to help finish out Admin activity review/2014 and participate in the steward discussion on confirmations, but will not be performing other steward work from the time of this posting.
- While I appreciate the suggestions to continue with other rights, I have decided that it would be best for me to focus both on the Wikimedia responsibilities that I am retaining, and on my outside life. If I find that I have more time in the future, I may return to some of the roles that I have had to step down from over the last year, or explore new roles.
- A lot of people think that being a steward is the only way to have an impact on Wikimedia. But in truth, we all can have a positive impact by contributing to both the content (after all, that is what Wikimedia is all about) and to the health of the community (because we have to encourage people to contribute what they know). That is what I would like to encourage you with, as I depart from this role.
- Thanks again, Rschen7754 17:42, 28 February 2015 (UTC)
