JOURNEY SO FAR

edit

Airat joined the Wikimedia Community in March 2024 at the International Women's Day conference and collaboration organized by Wikimedia User Group Nigeria to introduce women Journalists to open source usage and contribution through Wikipedia editing training. Excited to make meaningful connections and immerse herself in the learning and growing process, she began her sojourn.

On September 25th, Airat moderated the AWA Anglophone quarterly virtual conference which explored the theme: "Strengthening The African Framework Within Wikimedia Communities". It focused on the significance of an empowered, interconnected African Wikimedian community and the transformative power of collaboration and resource sharing. She's so pleased to be here and looks forward to seeing all the ways she will contribute to Wikimedia community developments.
