The Wikimedian Society of Tokyo

The Wikimedian Society of Tokyo (東京ウィキメディアン会, http://tokyo.wikimedia.jp/) is an informally existing user group focused onto supporting Wikimedians in Greater Tokyo Area. Its members have been organizing meetups and outreach-focused events in different locations around Tokyo since 2012.
Goals
edit- Support Wikimedians around Tokyo and in Japan at large
- Support collaboration between local organizations and people in Tokyo and in Japan at large, and Wikimedia projects
- Encourage and support people to contribute to Wikimedia projects

- Members gathered at Yokohama, Kanagawa to talk about planned Wikipedia Town editathons in various parts of Japan in the last part of the month.

- Some of the members gathered at Hong Kong (Wikimania 2013) and participated a Wikimedia Asia Project meeting, discussing possible content collaborations.
