About me
I came to the Foundation after a few years of pursuing international development work in Indonesia. Feeling jaded in my ability to make a significant impact from my desk at a USAID-funded program, I started eagerly looking for alternative models for development. I wanted to work on a project that was driven by the people and for people, with no hidden agenda other than to enable people to live better, more empowered lives. It's sounded idealistic at the time (and yes, kind of cheesy). But then I found Wikipedia. I've been working at the Foundation since November 2010 and feel very fortunate indeed.
My work
As Project Manager for the fundraiser, I work closely with the fundraising team and Zack Exley to drive the operational agenda of the department and help map new strategies for keeping the fundraising goals on target. I learn something new every day.
