I began contributing to Wikipedia at on-campus edit-a-thons in 2014. I teach history and women's and gender studies at the Gwen Ifill College of Media, Arts, and Humanities, part of Simmons University in Boston. Some of my courses ask students to create and edit Wikipedia articles. My main interests include women's history, American history, cultural history, visual art, imperialism and postcolonialism, gender studies, feminism, and religion.
I will be co-hosting an edit-a-thon at Simmons, as part of commemorating the centennial of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, on 31 March 2020.[1] Our theme will be American suffragists and other women activists for civil rights.
