Hello! My name is Omar Torres, I am a medical student as well as a History major student, currently studying in both Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey and Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. I have created this Wikipedia page because it is a project for my Medical English Class. I am part of the group 1 of this class. My professional interests are wide. I would like to become both and internist and a surgeon since I think that would give me a broad medical criteria. I would also like to earn a PhD in Medical Sciences. Besides Medicine, I study History, and I would like to earn a PhD in History of Art. Some people have said that I have lost my mind when I decided to study two careers; however, I do enjoy studying both and I think they give me a broader perspective of the world. I would like to teach too, both History and Medicine as well as subjects in which my two major areas of knowledge collide, such as: History of Medicine, International Medicine, etc. Also, I speak four languages: Spanish, English, French and German; nevertheless, I am not completely fluent in German as of today. I would like to learn other languages, being Portuguese, Italian and Japanese the first ones when I finish mastering German and French.
I really hope to make good contributions to Wikipedia since I strongly believe it is a superb effort to bring information to everyone who has access to a computer. Also, I will be employing my language skills in order to edit in the languages I am able to speak.
