About me
I have been a follower of Wikimedia projects for years, so I am very excited to join the Legal and Community Advocacy team this summer as a Legal Intern. Before the Wikimedia Foundation, I worked for Google in the Bay Area and London. I am currently focused on the effect of diverse international laws on global organizations. Through my work at the Wikimedia Foundation, I hope to contribute to the mission of making useful information available over the Internet.
I received a BA in Economics and History from the University of California, Berkeley and I am currently a student at Harvard Law School.
My work
In my role, I support the Office of the General Counsel as we address all legal matters related to the Foundation and its projects. For legal and ethical reasons I (as well as the rest of the legal team) can only represent the Wikimedia Foundation and cannot be the attorney for the community or chapters, though the legal team often provides strong support to the community in many ways consistent with the Foundation's goals.
