About me
Prior to joining the Wikimedia Foundation in Feb 2011, I was always involved in the for-profit world, more specifically in the real estate investment/development and renewable energy industries in the capacity of a fund controller and accounting manager, respectively.
My work
I'm responsible for coordinating the accuracy and integrity of the Wikimedia Foundation's accounting policies, practices, procedures and financial data and for managing the general ledger, the day-to-day accounting functions, financial analysis, and making sure we are spending as intended. I also manage our annual financial audit and tax returns preparation under the guidance of Jaime Villagomez, the Wikimedia Foundation's Chief Financial Officer.
