Hello! I am Zekarias Bogale, a passionate advocate for open knowledge and an active contributor to Wikimedia projects. My primary focus is on improving and expanding content related to Ethiopia, with special attention to the representation of Ethiopian culture, history, and languages (particularly Amharic and Oromo) on Wikipedia.

I have been contributing to Wikipedia since 2013 and have worked extensively in creating and improving articles, translating content, and promoting free knowledge in Ethiopia. As one of the founding members of Wikimedia Ethiopia which is a registered non-profit organization in Ethiopia. I am deeply committed to advancing the goals of the Wikimedia movement within the Ethiopian local communities. Hence, I have founded Wikimedia User Group Ethiopia in collaboration with active Ethiopian contributors on the Internet. We are hoping that this paves the way to becoming an officially recognized local chapter with active contribution to the local and global Wikimedia community.

My contributions span various topics, including Ethiopian history, notable figures, cultural heritage, and regional developments. I also dedicate time to helping new editors understand the Wikimedia guidelines and ensuring the accuracy and neutrality of information on the platform.
