Translation request
editHello, I understand you speak Assamese. I was wondering if you can translate "Village in China", "Commune in Morocco", and "village in Indonesia". It is for updating Wikidata. Thanks in advance. --Artix Kreiger (Message Wall) 04:43, 11 March 2018 (UTC)
- @Artix Kreiger: Thanks for your query. I speak Sylheti that's my mother tongue, though I contribute in Bengali Wiki; no wiki has been established yet in Sylheti language. However, Sylheti is very similar to Assamese, that's widely spoke in Assam (my neighbourng state in India). Though I don't write/translate in Assamese, I just translate from Assamese. BTW, I translated the verses for you:
- "Village in China" means চীনর গাঁও ,
- "Commune in Morocco" means and মৰক্কোর জনগোষ্ঠী
- "village in Indonesia" means ইণ্ডোনেছিয়ার গাঁও.
I think Commune is a disambiguation word for most of the Indic language, so I used the most common word for it.--এম আবু সাঈদ (talk) 07:31, 11 March 2018 (UTC)
The Community Wishlist Survey
editHi,
You get this message because you’ve previously participated in the Community Wishlist Survey. I just wanted to let you know that this year’s survey is now open for proposals. You can suggest technical changes until 11 November: Community Wishlist Survey 2019.
You can vote from November 16 to November 30. To keep the number of messages at a reasonable level, I won’t send out a separate reminder to you about that. /Johan (WMF) 11:24, 30 October 2018 (UTC)

Translation help?
editHi.
You, and some other users, are getting this message because you've previously translated from English to Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil or Telugu here on Meta. The Community Engagement department at the Wikimedia Foundation is trying to get some information we think is very relevant to the Indian communities translated into these languages. If you have the time and would be willing to help out, please take a look at User:CKoerner (WMF)/Support for our communities across India, which we'll be posting as soon as possible.
Thank you. /Johan (WMF) 11:40, 17 July 2019 (UTC)
A request for help
editHi there, এম আবু সাঈদ. I am Erica and work in the Community Engagement department at the Wikimedia Foundation. I hope all is fine with you. I am contacting you because of your experience in translating content to/from Bengali. I have a message from the Language team that I would like to deliver soon to the Wikipedia community there, and hence I would appreciate if you could translate it before. (If you can't help, please, let me know who I can ask instead, as we'd like to start conversations with all of you soon!) Thanks a lot for what you will do, and talk to you soon!
