Ali Rahmat~metawiki
Hi Ali Rahmat!
The request for a Wikipedia in your language has enough supporters now to be created! This is partly due to editors of the future Dutch Low Saxon WP who expressed their support for your project. Before your wiki is set up now a final decision on the question if we'll make a general Western Javanese Wikipedia or not needs to be made. You, as Banyumasan speakers, do you think it would be possible to include other Western Javanese dialects in your Wikipedia or are they so different that it wouldn't work? - Westernmost Javanese groups of dialects are Tegal dialect, Bumiayu dialect, Cirebonan-Indramayu dialect, North Banten dialect, Banyumas and Kebumen dialect. This groups usually mentioned as Banyumasan or ngapak-ngapak or penginyongan language. Ali Rahmat 07:31, 7 October 2005 (UTC)
- I wasn't aware that the term "Banyumasan" represents the whole group of dialects. Thanks for informing me. Arbeo 21:01, 13 October 2005 (UTC)
Hi Ali Rahmat! I think you need a different code for the Banyumasan wikipedia (again). I recommend using a code like qbn or qbd (any code between qaa and qtz would be OK). These are "locally defined codes", which can be used if there is no ISO code (see here). I left a note on the request page. If we have an acceptable code, I think (and hope) this wikipedia can be online very quickly. --Chamdarae 18:13, 19 October 2005 (UTC)
- I support map-bms as Banyumasan language code in Wikipedia. Ali Rahmat 02:37, 18 November 2005 (UTC)

Your account will be renamed
editHello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Ali Rahmat. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Ali Rahmat~metawiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
