My languages
editHi (there) to admins and stewards, it's Allen again (for this message in my talk page)!
I'm sorry about my English is nonsensical when I recently contribute on Wikimedia. I say English is my first language because I know English well since when I was young and learn it first in a basic way, and then I know all (of) the English words later on and be native at it. While my parents (mainly) speak Vietnamese since they come from Vietnam, I say Vietnamese is my second language and (I) know a few of Vietnamese words. With Russian being my third language, I only know a few of (basic) Russian words (like "Привет" [privet] means "hi/hello", "да" [da] means "yes", "нет" [net] means "no", "Россия" [rossiya] means "Russia", "русский" [russkiy] means "Russian").
Thank you, --Allen (talk to me! / ctrb / E-mail me) 21:17, 4 January 2017 (UTC)
- I modified my user page a few days ago, because I say that I'm not a native speaker of any language yet (even "English" is not my native language yet), so I'm level 5 (professional level) proficient in English. I consider English is (still) my first language (while Vietnamese is my second language and Russian is my third language). --Allen (talk to me! / ctrb / E-mail me) 21:48, 12 January 2017 (UTC)
- I hear a word from an admin on Wikipedia that I'm not at level 5 (professional level) in English yet, so I would say I'm at level 3 (advanced level) in English with some minor grammar errors. --Allen (talk to me! / ctrb / E-mail me) 06:07, 16 January 2017 (UTC)
- My English is "supposed" to be 100% proficient (without any grammar errors). The last time I contribute to Wikimedia/Wikipedia is I contribute with broken/poor/nonsensical English, but after I come back the latest, I corrected my grammar errors in coherent way. I'll try to get my English up from level 3 (advanced level) to level 5 (professional level) as soon as possible. --Allen (talk to me! / ctrb / E-mail me) 07:40, 23 January 2017 (UTC)
- Wait, who are you talking to here? – Ajraddatz (talk) 07:56, 23 January 2017 (UTC)
- stewards (including you), about my language. See what I said above. --Allen (talk to me! / ctrb / E-mail me) 08:02, 23 January 2017 (UTC)
- Well, to be totally honest, the best way you can convince us of your language ability is by properly using it in regular situations. – Ajraddatz (talk) 08:37, 23 January 2017 (UTC)
