Barnstar Continent?
editI started drafting a related idea at North American Wikimedians (bad name, see discussion on talk :) -- the BC draft seemed US centric at first but I see it mentions North America in the first sentence. Are these getting at the same thing, or two different ones? If the same, happy to merge. –SJ talk 16:59, 7 June 2022 (UTC)

Incident response system
editHi Lane, I saw your posts on Talk:Private Incident Reporting System page. Your concerns about WMF wasting people's time on another project that's not going to go anywhere are real and important. I know that you've been working on this since at least 2014 when you submitted that IdeaLab proposal (and obviously even before then). I'd like to talk with you about it — would you be interested in a call with me? Thanks DannyH (WMF) (talk) 15:43, 31 August 2022 (UTC)
- We talked, thanks. Bluerasberry (talk) 13:55, 30 September 2022 (UTC)
Wikisporadic Newsletter: September 2022
editWikisporadic, an Occasional Newsletter for our Germinating Community.
- Oral knowledge We held a session on oral knowledge and Wikispore as part of Options Space at Wikimedia Summit 2022 in Berlin, looking at options with several African affiliates to link out to cultural topics from Wikipedia(s). Some African communities are already doing oral knowledge documentation like the Nigerian community working on oral history as well as the growing Mozambican community working on oral history documentation in Makhuwa language. This is a way to provide more sources as well as digitize some oral parts of their history.
- Wikidata integration There is a plan to install the new UnlinkedWikibase extension, advancing the vision of Wikisprout and full Wikidata integration such as use in infoboxes.
- Movement strategy Using the Cargo and related extensions on Wikispore, work is underway to create a demo of Movement Strategy activities, adapting Baserow data from Wikimedia Summit.
- Halloween event As a Wikidata 10th Birthday event, there is hope to collaborate at the end of October with Wiki Cemeteries User Group on Grave Spore (see discussion), for maps and in-depth coverage of individual graves.

Question from Dutch journalist about Meta's Side AI
editHi @Bluerasberry, I'm a Dutch science journalist currently working on a piece about Wikimedia/Wikipedia. One of the main topics I'm looking into is Meta's Side AI. I see you've tried this AI out, as you said in this topic. I have a couple of questions, would you be open for an interview? Through any medium that you're comfortable with, of course (email, chat, telephone, video call, whatever suits you best). If so, when would you be able to talk? My timezone is GMT+2. Cheers, SGH SpookyGoHappy (talk) 11:42, 30 September 2022 (UTC)
- Hi, just making sure: I replied to your email-reply, let me know if that didn't reach you! Thanks, cheers, SpookyGoHappy (talk) 12:14, 30 September 2022 (UTC)
- @SpookyGoHappy: Yes, we are in touch by email! We will talk soon. Bluerasberry (talk) 13:55, 30 September 2022 (UTC)
