Kalmyk language

edit
  • Hi, Calmouk! DFid you know that Windows support all Kalmuck letters. To use it Tatar keyboard needs (en:Tatar alphabet)
    • Thank you! I know it. Even more, Windows (UNICODE, actually) supports old Kalmyk alphabet Todo Bichig but we, Kalmyks of Russia, were enforced to abandon our old script in favor to Cyrillic during Soviet Era. But our brothers and sisters from Western China still using our old alphabet. We are discusing now if we should use Latin for our Wiki to make it understandable for our people from China and Mongolia. Calmouk

Buriat languages

edit
  • Hi Calmouk!

Ethnologue says there are three Buriat variations/languages: The Buriat of China (65 000 speakers), the Buriat of Mongolia (64 900), and the Russian one (318 000). Could you specify which variation/language you want a Wiki in? Friendly greetings, Belgian man (nl na en) 15:51, 14 January 2006 (UTC)Reply
