JSTOR account redistribution (The Wikipedia Library)

edit

Hi - according to our records you received a free account for JSTOR through The Wikipedia Library. Because we’ve used up all of our allocated accounts, and it’s been some time since they were distributed, we want to redistribute any accounts that aren’t being used to users on our waitlist.

If you’re still using, or plan to use, your JSTOR access, no problem! Simply head over to the Library Card platform, log in, and request a renewal of your account. You should be able to do this from your user page, or the JSTOR signup page. If you can’t find the renewal button, or have any other issues or questions about this, please feel free to leave a message on my talk page. We’ll begin redistributing inactive accounts in September; if you request renewal after then we will only be able to reactivate your account if we have spots remaining. A concern

edit

Hello, Encyclopædius! LionFosset here, the one you alerted to the 10,000 Challenge of WikiProject Asia. Thank you for taking notice of the edits I've been making toward improving Philippine-related articles. I am grateful for that.

At present, however, I am concerned with one of the editors of Philippine articles in Wikipedia, Hotwiki. His dry and strict attitude towards editing articles is off-putting to me, as if he avoids any sort of conversation with editors he just corrected in an article. This is my assumption because I tried to have some sort of friendly acknowledgement of errors made and errors forgiven, but he would just delete the section I posted in his talk page soon after.

As far as I can tell, however, he is one of the more respectable and law-abiding users on Wikipedia, being an editor for 15 straight years now, but it bothers me that he might not see that I myself am honestly trying to constantly improve Wikipedia just like he is. I had a situation with him before, but then recently it got to the point that I made a naive decision to comment passive-agressively about his editing habits for one of my edit summaries (specifically GMA Supershow), which I regret now. As he could be the type to see if I am messaging someone about him right after trying to talk to him, I thought that I could message you here in Wikimedia, for someone to hear my concern at least.

Sincerely, LionFosset (talk) 17:31, 31 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Please help me

edit

My name is Ryan Kavanaugh and I am under serious attack on wiki. This comes from a known blogger named ethan klein “H3” who waged “digital war” against me about 4 months ago. Prior to that my page while not all positive was mostly accurate. Now anything about my actual life and acconplishments have been removed and poorly sourced, outdated negative information populates it. I pride myself on chairty work and even the 12 distinguished awards i have received over 20 years were erased in a day (things like receiving the ADL most distignused award or cedar sinai humanitarian award all removed as if they never happened. Whats worse is the information being posted isnt accurate, relevant or new. For example in the past three years i have founded a prominent company Triller as well As many others, which has daily press from very reputable aources. The changes and vandals dont mention that. Inatead they are writing about accusations, since proven false, some from 15 years ago. Ethan Klein is publically bragging about causing this and i triller is currently suing ethan. He haa admitted publically he is doing this as retribution for the legal action triller took (as he illegally pirated one of our PPV events). I am hoping you can help. I am not familiar with wiki but as i tried to correct this and notify editors of the pending legal action i just get blocked. This is not fair and my kids are reading this.. 2603:8001:9301:737:54CC:3DF4:9084:5ED0 18:30, 23 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
