Wikimania 2016: IdeaLab Workshops

edit

Wikimania 2016 is almost here! Mjohnson (WMF) and I are running two workshops for IdeaLab during the conference, and you are invited to join us for either (or both!)

If you have a proposal or idea you are thinking about, and would like a space to work on it on your own or with others, please consider joining us for either the Thursday or Saturday sessions. We'll discuss a little about IdeaLab and how it works, and the rest of the time is space for idea building. You can also use this session to ask questions about Wikimedia Foundation grants that are available if your proposal or idea may need funding. Thanks, and see you at the conference! 2016 Community Wishlist Survey

edit

Hi,

You’re getting this message because you participated in the 2015 Community Wishlist Survey and we want to make sure you don't miss it this year – or at least can make the conscious choice to ignore if it you want to. The 2015 survey decided what the Community Tech team should work on during 2016. It was also the focus of Wikimedia hackathons and work by other developers. You can see the status of wishes from the 2015 wishlist at 2015 Community Wishlist Survey/Results.

The 2016 Community Wishlist Survey is now open for wishes. You can create proposals until November 20. You will be able to vote on which wishes you think are best or most important between November 28 and December 12. /Johan (WMF) (talk) via MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 11:17, 14 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

WPWP Campaign: Follow-Up with Local Organizers

edit

Dear ESM

We hope this email finds you all well and you are staying safe amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The Organizing Team is excited that you will be coordinating the Wikipedia Pages Wanting Photos (WPWP) Campaign in the Catalan community and we are happy to provide the necessary supports for you to run a smooth campaign.

The WPWP Campaign started on the 1st of July 2020 and entries would close on the 31st of August 2020.

We would like to know when the campaign will start in the Catalan community so that we can effectively monitor the campaign progress there.

If we have your start date (1st August 2020 for example), we can configure your community hashtag for tracking metrics . This would be aggregated with the general hashtag, #WPWP.

Kindly note that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, #WPWP Campaign activities/events are strictly online.

Please let us know if you require further information.

You could email me directly (reachout2isaac@gmail.com)

With best regards, Isaac Olatunde Project Manager and Co-Coordinator WPWP Campaign
