Sorry Edward for the delay, so, I think I can solve your problem via global ipblockexempt, to which account do you want me to grant it? --Vituzzu (talk) 13:15, 14 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

My prototype lets users login with their Wikipedia account, so edits are credited to the appropriate account. I'd appreciate if you could add an exemption for en:User:Edward, that way I can test it. Ultimately I guess the code should be running on the tool server. edward (talk) 13:02, 15 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Edward, Your "find link" tool is awesome! I noticed that it automatically inserts piped links if the search term is a redirect. I wonder if there is (or can be... if you would kindly make one) an option to suppress the piping? Deryck C. 16:39, 4 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

If you add ?ignore_redirect=1 to the end of the URL it should suppress the piping. edward (talk) 10:13, 5 September 2017 (UTC)Reply
Edward, this seems to be working. Thank you. With the current design, the find link tool only works in ignore_redirect mode in some Asian languages because there are no spacebars between words. The piping mechanism would cause entire sentences to be eaten up...! Deryck C. 10:19, 15 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hi Edward. I see you've signed up on Meetup/Cambridge/45. Having coordinated with the London Wikimedia crowd, cmglee and I have decided to give way to other Wikimania 2022 in-person events in the region instead - there will be activities each day on 12th, 13th, and 14th August. See the listing I put on Meetup/Cambridge/45. Thanks! Deryck C. 13:35, 14 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
