Template Wizard script available for testing

Hello. I'm contacting you because you voted for the Infobox Wizard in the 2017 Community Wishlist Survey.

The Infobox Wizard has gotten an upgrade - it's now a Template Wizard which works for infoboxes and all other templates. The feature is being developed as an extension (which will allow for localization) but there is a prototype user script which works well.

The Wishlist Team would love it if you could take a few minutes to try the Template Wizard prototype script out and give us feedback on whether it lives up to your expectations. This feedback will help build the script into an extension. To get started, add the following to your Special:MyPage/common.js -

The Template Wizard will show up as a puzzle-piece icon in the 2010 WikiEditor. You can click on the icon to insert a template. New Tech Ambassadors Phabricator board

Next steps for the wish “confirmation prompt for the rollback link”

Hello, a while ago you participated in a feedback round about a proposal how accidental clicks on the rollback link could be avoided. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts and ideas!
Looking at the feedback and the rollback situation in different wikis, the development team decided how to approach this wish: As a default, most wikis won’t have a confirmation. But users who wish to have one, can enable it in their preferences, which will add a confirmation prompt to the rollback link on the diff page and on the list pages. The prompt won’t be a pop-up, but an inline prompt like for the thanks confirmation. Proposal

I was glad to see your most recent edit. Anything that is going to require a lot of finesse is going to be a problem. One important question, though, is: if we are going to leave something intact, who decides what to leave intact? And on what grounds?

Who?

• One possibility is that you run a formal RfA on that project. If there aren't objections (over a week), you'll get a temporary flag. Then you could delete what you want, and then we could lock afterwards. (That assumes that you are an appropriate party to judge this. Given that you otherwise want to close the project, that's probably reasonable, but possibly someone will object.)
• Another is that you simply start tagging pages not to delete, and we try to see if a steward has access to a bot that could check every page and delete every page not having the "don't delete" template.

What grounds?

• The question of how to judge content pages may end up being contentious at a certain point in its own right. Possibly the idea that the project would be locked anyway would make it less contentious; I just don't know.
• One of the reasons not to hard-close projects, to say nothing of not deleting projects, is to preserve the infrastructure (templates, modules, categories, help pages, project pages, etc.) for people to try to resurrect the project in the future. If a lot of the existing infrastructure is problematic—for example, because it has not been translated from Russian to Bulgarian—that may change how to look at the problem.

Apparently, the AI bot decided that your behaviour was suspicious. Though the bot did have reasons to believe so, in this case it was obviously a mistake. I've lifted the block and restored the talk page. Thank you very much for notifying me and apologies for the inconvenience caused.

bg.wikipedia.org AI revert and block

c:File:USB_Type-C.svg contains text, which is normally undesired. The file is used only in bgwiki and kkwiki and should be deleted soon, since a no-text version has been created.

Please do not edit other users' pages, unless absolutely needed. If a file gets deleted on Commons, the bot CommonsDelinker usually takes care of removing all references to it, so no need to delete those files in advance. If you want to propose deleting the file, the fact that it's used in somebody's sandbox—or even an article, for that matter—is irrelevant; as long as there are valid reasons to delete it, it will be deleted.

The bot is always more suspicious of anonymous users, especially when they revert the bot's edits, and even more so when a bunch of IPs try making the same edits. It's a benign change here, but the bot isn't that smart.

In eswiki a bot also reverted, but does not block users. And when I used the revert button, it stopped to revert me [2]. And I could make another change of the file before in bgwiki, https://bg.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=USB_Type-C&diff=8841063&oldid=8840900. So, it is not your bot that is rassist, but you are. Others were allowed to edit the page, but me not? The user had a sandbox for the page USB-C and then left Wikimedia. 20 edits in three Wikimedia projects, all related to USB-C and then he left. Three years ago. 1. Maybe you see the difference between "And stop trying to edit other users' pages." and "I had restored your version of the article"? You did not restore [3] but instead you said "And stop trying to edit other users' pages.".
2. It was the former why I called you racist, had nothing to do with the article. My point of view does not depend on whether I call you that or not. So, yes "not going to do much good" but neither to do anything bad.
